Bloggie friends!!
I may not be a fan of the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, but he did come out with the bestest insult I've ever heard in a long time!
He called his fellow councillors:
"Great supine protoplasmic invertebrate jellies"
Ouch!
Now here is a snapshot of our routine taken at 6 am this Monday morning!
Charlie busy eating, Gumtree busy watching Bird TV and me busy playing referee!
p.s. HUGE congratulations to penandpaints of The Write Idea blog and the publication of her utterly adorable children's story Tumbly Mouse Sneaks out of the House! It was 8 pages of utter enchantment! Thank you, Cate!
Have a great week y'all!

Your mayor has a keen sense of observation!
Referee? Are you saying Charlie and Gumtree were picking on each other?
"Great supine protoplasmic invertebrate jellies" Haha!
Do you have a whistle to go with your referee position? :)
That's a good one! MOL! Have a great week, furriends. XOXO
May I use that insult for my adjoining neighbours?
I hope your week goes well, that you're not still too swamped with work. :-)
Oh my that is original.
Hope Charlie is enjoyin his meal and Gumtree is finding a riveting scene outside.
xoxox
Bird TV? I love it!
He called them what??? Clever man...some may have had to fumble with their dictionaries.
While I've had some difficulty accepting some of Boris' policies, I still love him as a gentleman and a scholar. He comes out with some right crackers, and occasionally does actually have a good policy.
6 AM? Entirely too early!
Thanks, Old Kitty. That looks like a peaceful morning. Thank you for the lovely comment you left on my blog yesterday! Have a great week.
Sounds like your kitties have the life! Have a great week!
I suppose he has muscles that ripple in every direction and is Mr. Super-Brain.
I remember when Charlie said, "Out of my way, Gummy Boy." They must get in each others face in the morning.
That was was preety funny insult! Howdy boys, nice to see you!
Busy Monday ?
Charlie, you are busy with food , I love that ; )
You all have Fun !
xox
And look at lucky cat with the right paw up! Does right paw mean lucky in love or lucky in business??? I can't remember.
Regardless, Charlie and Gumtree area adorable, and that insult is hilarious. Supine invertebrate jellies... :D
Have a super week, my friend~ <3
A bit of an insult to "Great supine protoplasmic invertebrate jellies"
Have fun, ref!

That's some classy name calling!
Oh my gosh, I don't even know what that means, but I love it:-)
So...Gumtree is watching Bird TV, is he?
Wow, I wonder how many of the council members understood the insult!
That's an interesting place for Charlie to eat his breakfast. Does Gumtree try to sneak a bite or too?
Have a great week!
Ha! Try to say Boris's comment five times fast. :D
That is a classic insult. Love it!
Wow! Breakfast at 6am! That's early! Purrs!
ha ha! This made me smile ....
Have a lovely week. Minerva ~
Ouch! That is a good one. I am not good at insults in the moment but I sure can think of them after I walk away. Lol!! LOVE your pictures. Good day to all three of you!
Ha! Bird tv. I have that at my house, too :)
And what a great insult!
The kitties are adorable.
And that is a great insult. LOL
You have a 6am routine?! I am very impressed, and slightly disturbed I have no 6am routine. I fear this is why my novel is taking ages. Utilise all the hours, Jayne! As for Boris, he certainly knows a good turn of phrase.
Gumtree has his full attention on Bird TV and Charlie's full attention is on his food. Too funny!
I had to check online dictionary for words between great and jellies. (English is not my first language.) And yes, I'd say Ouch :-) At least I learned new words though! Have a wonderful week!!
What an insult--I think that's that strongest one I've ever heard!
Cute kitties, as always, and Congrats to Cate!
I dearly love creative insults like this - as opposed to the way overused uncreative four letter kinds. There are several websites where you can go read lovely Shakespearean insults! One website even has a button labeled "Taunt me a second time" - grin!
6am? Arggh! I try not to see such times! (Although I was woken at 4.30am by a naughty Millie trying to scratch her way through the landing carpet!)
Thank you very much for the mention, I'm so happy you enjoyed Tumbly's little adventure! :) xx
That is an impressive insult! Love it! :)
Great picture- Love the stories you tell of the kitties.
That sounds like typical Boris - never one to pull his punches. How on earth do you manage to be so lively at 6 in the morning?
Mum was amazed when she read your blog - 6.00 a.m. and you were getting ready to go to work. She had to have a nap to get over the shock!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
That is quite an insult by that person. I wouldn't like him either.
Charlie that food looks good and Gum, I bet those birds are very busy having their breakfast. Have a great day.
Oh how enchanting that book must be. Mommy said she loves that type of book and misses reading sweet stories to her children when they were small. xoxoxo
It reminds me of what I always say! There's nothing like a good insult. I can't do it though.
Maria
What did you say "6 am...early morning"??? oh gosh...I don't do mornings! MOL but I also have some routine here, for instance, I usually MEOWWWWWWWWWW to call my mommy to be near me when I'm eating my cookies and treats! :D
then...I go for another nap!
purrs to you all
love
Luna - WE LOVE LUNA and mom Léia
What a busy people you are!
"Ouch" is right about the comment by Mayor Johnson.
Hmmm, Gumtree and Charlie seem to be settling in to the new routine quite well.
We hope you have a terrific week!
I love a guy with a large vocabulary! I could almost forgive a man in politics for using intelligent and colorful words...lol! Looks like quite the routine your cats have going on!
"Great supine protoplasmic invertebrate jellies" is both creative and hilarious.
Meanwhile, Charlie and Gumtree are as adorable as ever. : )
That was a good insult!
Ouch!
We had a prime minister down this way that was very noted for his insults to the opposition.
That is the single best insult I've ever heard. I wish politicians in the US Congress came up with stuff like that!
Bird TV. Makes sense. :)
MOL! We know a few people with whom we'd like to use that insult. ;)
Now that was an insult of epic proportions if I ever heard one! LOL :)
You are one busy cat mother, I can tell. Hope they appreciate you.
That is an excellent insult. I wish American politicians could be insulting with such style.
He has quite a vocabulary. I would never have come up with that on the spot, unless I rehearsed it in my head.
Now THAT is an insult - well done!
Ah yes, bird TV. Really fun to watch!
Wow! Talk about a verbal smack up side the head :)
A great good meowning to you! xoxoxox
we are taking a lead from you! Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
Methinks we want to use that quote... Now if only the opportunity...
