Being Certified

Charlie approves my Certificate certifying that I am now certifiably competent with the use of computer applications.

ECDL stands for European Computer Driving Licence. Ahem.

Excel Spreadsheets? Pah! Word 2007? Double Pah! Voice Over Internet Protocols? Eh?

We had a small ceremony in a pokey room in the basement of our workplace. Our names were called and we each had to shake hands with the Head of Staff Development and Training before he gave us our certificates.

This was followed by a sandwich and orange juice buffet.

Oh I live the high life!

Yet it was six intensive weeks of tests, handbook courseworks and lotsa exams - and all done in my lunch hour and in any spare time I could find during work.

So I'm very chuffed with this small success!

Have a fizzy Friday everyone! May you all celebrate the little triumphs in your lives!!!

Congrats on the certification! That is pretty cool! I mean, it sounds like a lot of work but it is great that you know how to use all those now and can prove it if you have to (without having to turn on a computer of course).

Congratulations! It's an accomplishment that you worked hard to achieve, so I'm chuffed too. (That's the first time I've ever used "chuffed". I hope I used it correctly.)

I'm glad Charlie approves.

Have a great weekend! Enjoy your continued birthday festivities.

Congrats on being certified! :)

Thanks for the waves and waves of healing purrs. Pebble is much better. Will post her update on coming Tuesday.
Thanks for jolting my memory about Pebble's baby. It's a sad story and a tad long. Let me look for his photos first before writing.

Well done - it looks a very posh certificate! I'm hopeless with all this I.T. stuff. Perhaps I should do a course too!

Orange and sandwich buffet? I hope it was freshly squeezed OJ... :) I like Charlie certifies your certificate--CONGRATS!! OK--I'm in the faraway dry land of Texas--What are you certified to do? Sounds intense and like you had to study hard--something Tommy could learn from YOU!

Stingy bosses - you should have had wine at least unless that would have made it necessary to be breathalised in case you were drunk in charge of your desk and chair!!
Hi Charlie - you're lucky to have a clever mum.

Fantastic, many congratulations. I've worked as a software developer for many years and I don't have one of those!

People have told me I was certifiable, but you got the paper and everything!

Congratulations!!! Please give me love to Charlie who no doubt gets some credit for this achievement as well!

Congratulations, that is just fantastic. We didn't know one could become certified. Well done and Charlie is impressed too. We certainly will give you a toast later on today. The cats will lift their paws to you. Donkeys will lift their hooves and goat too. Dogs will lift their paws and Mom will lift her glass.
Have a great week end.
