My aol email account has been hacked so please ignore anything with the subject heading "Hot Properties!! Cheap Price!!" or any other such NONSENSE purporting to be from Old Kitty/domingojenn.
I never sent any of these stupid emails and I am hacked off that these idiot hackers have invaded my and your privacy. And they have the GALL to sign me off as "Jenny".
NO ONE calls me Jenny! Grrr! LOL!
I am not a happy Old Kitty! :-(

Oh good thing your blogged this Jenn, as I received this e-mail from you this afternoon and luckily did not open the link inside as I thought it looked suspicious. I'd advise any of your readers who did click on the link that their e-mail address may also now be hacked so they should warn the people in their adressbook the same thing.
It can happen to anyone -- do a virus check and change your passwords. Good luck!
I had my computer hacked once and it sent out very "inappropriate" e-mails to people who go to my church!! So, I'm sorry and I understand how upsetting this can be. :(

Oh no! Email hackers are the worst. Someone once hacked into my facebook and was posting all kinds of crap. So amazing peeps have nothing better to do with their time.

Mine was hacked a few years ago in tandem with my eBay account so the perpetrator could 'sell' dodgy top-of-the-range laptops.
I've made my passwords stronger since.

That happened to me too a couple of years ago. That's when I left AOL and got a gmail account. Sorry, hope it's taken care of soon.

That happened to me awhile back, grrr! It's so frustrating, and you wonder how the heck did that happen?
That's happened to me before. It's annoying and I just deleted that particular account. I think most people these days are wise enough to ignore/delete those kinds of emails.
Some people don't have enough to do and that coupled with bad moral judgement (or perhaps they are even a-moral) are the evil doers of the world. They have no idea of the fingers pointing back at them until it personally affects them. Too late.
I'm sorry. It's such a personal violation. I've been there a couple of times too. Idiots.

We got one of those emails and deleted it since we knew that you didn't do that kind of advertising. That is horrible that people can do that. At least it was just your email and not your blog. Have a happy day.

The same thing happened to me from my non-blogging account in December. Apparently, I was stuck in some other country and had all my bags stolen. There was some embassy issue, so I needed cash. Fast. I was so upset, I completely forgot how to employ proper spelling and grammar.
But I don't think they got my name wrong. I'm grateful for that.

This can be a real pain. But sometimes it's not even you that got hacked. It could be someone in your address book that got a virus and the virus absconded all the names and emails and sent out the spam on your behalf.
That doesn't make it any less aggravating, but just saying.
