My Seven Heavenly Virtues today

Truth - The Cat had a day off from chemo yesterday. I had a day off to bring her to the vets for a check up. Vet tells me that the Cat is doing fine considering and we both celebrate by being complete slobs. And we liked it. Soon the cycle of more chemo, more employer negotiations for extra leave for me will start. But not yet, not yet.

Love - Everything I do, I do because of this.

Courage - I told a visitor to kindly take his mobile phone conversation outside of the library. Hey, the guy was at least 7 feet tall!

Wisdom - I'm working on that...

Creativity - so far - 1 ongoing short story, 1 flash fiction (needs editing), 20 out of 40 lines of poetry for my Open Uni course, this blog, thinking about my old ms all hidden away....

Tolerance - The Cat tolerates me big time.

Freedom - to be. My heartsong.

Freedom to Be is especially important, is to be cherished--not taken for granted. I think a lot of women have this only in their middle and older years, if/when they are able to stop being what others want them to, expect them to be. In my own life, the freedom to be my Self was hard won, only after many years of trying to be what I thought my ex-hubby wanted--and discovering that whatever it was he did want, I certainly wasn't it. Thank the gods/goddesses!

The aftermath?

Freedom. The Phoenix arising from the ashes.

Definitely heavenly.

Old Kitty, we feel sure you must have a name. Your human writes of you with love between the words as you go through the chemotherapy. We wonder what your name is?

One who came before me had lymphoma and chemo, alas, he did not have the careful care from the vet that you are having.

We send you rumbly purrs Old Kitty and some love for your human too.

Enjoy your vacation, you and cat! Glad you're both feeling good, and I do hope you will dust off those old mss.

Oh, Kea, Kea, Kea!

I so agree! Ten years with the ex... lovely man but why was I so ultimately unhappy?

I wasn't free to be!

Big hugs to you and your lovely cats

Take care

Hi Everycat, Hi Whickly Wuudler

Thanks for popping by!

My human is a silly old girl like me, although I am definitely the brains of the outfit!

I love your blog and am very sorry for your loss.

My name is Boldy the Cat!

Take care
