Light at the end of the tunnel

Beautiful bloggie friends – what would you do with bits of wood and pieces of discarded wheels from old toys?

You may wish to create something like this:

This doggie is called Albie and is a creation of JamesPlumb associates and yes it is made entirely of reclaimed used bits and pieces.

Now wouldn’t it be great to take Albie walkies in the evening?

I think so!

Today I was looking through my pics of Charlie and the litter tray that my neighbour gave me and then it struck me.

An idea for my women’s magazine story!

Now that’s a kind of recycling isn’t it? The names of the characters will of course be changed to protect the innocent!

Charlie says: Just how many pairs of shoes have you got in this recycled pic?

May you all find your own lights at the end of your personal tunnels!

Have a Happy nearly Friday day, everyone!

Albie is very creative! You'd garner some interesting looks, taking him for walks in the evenings. :-)

Hurray for being inspired for your upcoming story! That's fantastic!

that's a brilliant idea. :) I think my hubby would love to build a Albie of our own :)

I think Charlie and my kitties would get along just fine :).

I thought that post was funny, so I can see it as a beginning to a bigger, funnier story. Charlie is such a muse.

I like the idea of making toys out of scraps. My kids' second-grade teachers have had an area where parents donate old things and kids transform them into something else. The children love it, but it means they take the creations home. More clutter!

I'm just hoping the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train!

I love seeing recycled things like this. Wonderful!

What a wonderful way to use recycled things to make a dog. If you had a dog like the one pictured you wouldn't need to keep stopping at trees or lamp posts.

I'm a cat and I think Charlie is cool. Is there room in the bin for a chum from Texas....? And just how many shoes DO you have???

and I think Albie needs a friend..

That certainly is a wonderful creation called Albie. We dare you to take it for a walk but Charlie gets to ride on it when you go. Charlie you are really looking good sitting in your recycling box. Have a wonderful day.

It is really great and exciting when a thought for story strikes like that.

Charlie looks very comfortable in his recycled tray amongst the shoes.

I think the kitties get fed no matter where in the world you are clicking from. Thank you.

This would be funny to take him for walks in this in the eve-here in the US people take their dogs for walks in baby strollers all the time.

Now that's being creative...making an Albie and all--and taking "recycling" to the next level. Charlie looks like he might be liking that spot.

What a neat idea...Albie is great!

Charlie...are you going to use that box or just sit there looking pretty?

Is Albie a light? Or does he just have a lampshade head? Very innoventive either way. Love the pic of Charlie bedding down in his litter tray!

If I was shut in a room for an hour and asked to make a list of things I'd do with bits of wood and pieces of discarded wheels from old toys, I wouldn't put that anywhere near the top, I don't think. I'm glad there are people who do, though :)

Gosh, that amount of shoes.. and you don't have a mobile phone?

Charlie, go get one! :)

Hugs to you and Charlie!

Glad you got an idea - recycled or not. Mom studied journalism in school and they told her to think of many different audiances for the same article and rewrite it from each slant..that is recylcing right? We like Albie too!

Oh I like Albie! I'd totally buy one for my kid if I had one... I don't think buying one for the cats, my interim children, would much entertain them.

I think it's great you found a story idea from the recycled little box! I thought it was a sweet, if odd, story when you first told it, so I think it'll make a great piece of fiction.

if Albie is a light, I definitely want one. How cute, and functional too (the perfect result). And I think you need more shoes. I know I do.
