Plant inspiration with a Husky

Suffering from a bout of writer’s block today, I turned to YouTube and played these to get my senses working overtime.

The first clip is from Little Shop of Horrors - a musical about a guy called Seymour who buys a plant that is really from outer space!

But enough about that!

What I love about this clip and this song is that Seymour who is a bit gawky and terribly insecure declares his love for Audrey – a stereotypical Marilyn Monroe type stuck in an abusive relationship.

Audrey and Seymour – losers in life – finally find their voices and each other – literally and metaphorically. Just listen to the lyrics. Lovely.

Similarly, this second clip just makes me laugh! It's the way Mishka obliges her humans with utter disdain!

Charlie says "Stop wasting time watching Youtube clips and get writing"!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Did you watch the entire film on Youtube? I love that movie. Like you said, it has so many levels to it. And the music is incredible.

That Mishka clip is hilarious! Why doesn't my dog say she loves me? All she says is "arf".

Love the husky, he's beautiful :o)

I slipped with a mouse-click, which is why my 'C' post published early. I had to delete quickly and then redo the whole thing again hehe, trouble is, it showed up on everyone's sidebar. arrgh so embarrassing!

Hahahahaha, the Husky clip is great. Yes, she obliges with utter disdain. LOL.

I've never seen Little Shop of Horrors, didn't realize it starred Rick Moranis, whom I've seen in a number of other things.

Enjoy your Saturday--Charlie gives good advice. :-))

The Mishka video is great. What a neat talking dog. And Charlie that is a super picture of you. Keep working on Mom to get her writing again. Hope you both have a wonderful week end.

I loved Little Show of Horrors, but I haven't seen it in years. Now that you've reminded me, I want to see it again!

Dreaded writer's block - I hope it's passed. Charlie is right to tell you to stop watching You Tube and get back to writing!

Have a wonderful weekend.

It's so hard to have time to create and then not have the flow of ideas! I do hope they come very soon or have already come! I'd just end up getting distracted by playing with Charlie! I've been cuddling Archie all afternoon when I should have been unpacking! Have a Happy Easter xx

Hi Kim

Yes, Charlie's my back up plan! LOL!

but seriously he is so lovely and such a blessing!

Oh Mishka is brilliant!

You know in Little Shop of Horrors (the film) they changed the ending here as opposed to the theatre production cos people got upset apparently when they first screened it with the original ending (basically it ends in tears, someone dies!). I'm glad they did!
