Let's get physical!

So 25 April was the London Marathon.

I doff my humble perky little cap to all these fantastic runners - from the serious professionals to those dressed up as a Sir Richard Branson, Darth Vader and Princess Beatrice.

I once harboured dreams of joining this adventure (really!) but after reading the required minimal training routine I had to endure - I thought it best to let that dream slide by and stick to more attainable goals.

Like writing novels. LOL! (I think this bit is called “irony”. )

Anyway! I’m not the most physically fit of people but I do enjoy my daily dose of the lovely Rosemary Conley and her 50 minute routine.

And when I came across this teaser of a clip from the forthcoming Shrek 4 – I thought maybe poor ol Puss in Boots might need her too.

I cannot wait for Shrek 4!!

There’s going to be a character called Gretched (try and not laugh at that name, I dare ya!!) voiced by the fabulous Jane Lynch (she of Glee!).

Charlie says: I’m off to bed.

Have a lovely monster of a Monday everyone!

Oh I thought you said Rosemary Clooney, and I thought omigosh she's a little old for calisthenics. In fact I believe she's dead. You have an award at my blog :)

Oh, dear....I just ate four pieces of some "bannock bread" that I made. Now I'm consumed by guilt, especially since I've done zilch all weekend except housework.

Charlie has the right idea: sleep. If only I could burn a zillion calories while I dreamed!

Poor Puss N Boots, way too much stinky goodness and milk...we can't wait for the movie either. Hey Charlie, where you off to?

The fact that you looked into the requirements of the marathon impresses me. I hate running.

Shrek 4? I'd better catch up and see #3. I think I saw the first one so many times that I have a bunch of the lines memorized.

Hope you had a good weekend!

I ran a marathon about 5 years ago, and I always thought I'd run another one, but never quite got around to it. The training is sooo time consuming, and I'd much rather be writing. :)

Poor Puss in Boots! He needs a canned food diet...Grayce lost 8 oz! Or maybe Richard Simmons would be better. heh heh

LOL! I love the "puss in boot" character!

I saw the NYC marathon runners this year run by a local Brooklyn street. I got tired just watching them! My running days are over...walking is more my speed :-)

Heh.. great post!

I laughed about publishing being easier than running a marathon. Of course, at least in my case, that's true!

My brother runs marathons. I think he's a nutter.

I'll stick to steps!

I thought the trailer was funny. I hope it isn't the only funny bit of the movie.

Hope you get a lovely long nap Charlie.

I know how you feel - marathons are not my thing. But they're sacred in Norway because of marathon legend Grete Waitz, so it's best not to voice your dismay so loudly:)

I saw your award on KarenG's blog and came over to check your blog out. I ran a half marathon last year and I'm currently trying to get published and all I can say is with publishing I've managed to hang onto all my toenails. I can't say the same of running. Fun post!

You have to love good ole Puss in Boots. Looks like he has joined husband's club. LOL!!!

Glad you saw the sense in watching the marathon from your sitting room.
