The Freedom of Feet

Oh beautiful bloggie friends!

Today was such a perfect sunny spring day. My toes were finally free from socks and tights usage for the first time ever!!

I can wear sandals again…!!! And show off my aubergine painted toe-nails!

And to add to my spring delight look what I found living in my potted hardy Scottish pine that I use as my Christmas tree for two years running now.

Lotsa seven-spotted ladybirds all using the tree to lie, live and er.. make love in - and there was a lot of THAT going on.

Which begs the question what are baby ladybirds called apart from larvae?!?!?!

Charlie says: you have bugs?!?

Have a glorious pedicured Sunday everyone!

Love all the signs of spring including ladybugs and big white cats enjoying the sun!

Those are cute shoes! They are the color of ladybugs. I love to find ladybugs in my garden as they eat aphids and generally make things nice and balanced. So glad they (and you) were having a good time!

I think Charlie may have enjoyed this spring day more than anyone or anything (well, except those birds).

You got to show off your purple pedicure! I LOVE purple polish. I think I have almost every shade imaginable. All of my sandals are still packed.

Nothing like a lovely spring day to rejuvenate. Hope you have a nice day tomorrow!

I've taken to sandals myself...not that it is at all appropriate here in NE Iowa. I just can't take socks and pants anymore...

Awesome shoes! I can never wear shoes like that, having ogre feet, but I like to look at them. Heh.

Love your shoes, Kitty and we too have ladybirds in our garden, is that a sign of a good summer ?
Your pothole gardens were in our sunday paper today, you are so ahead of the news.

I love getting rid of socks. My sandals aren't as pretty as that (I have wide feet and I go for comfort) but I just love letting me feet feel the air.

Charlie doesn't look too interested in the ladybugs! :-)

The shoes are cute, hurrah for warm enough weather.

It's too cool here for sandals, though I despair of ever getting out of my socks and shoes at work. Our somewhat new-to-us office building is so cold (our cubicles are on the north side) that last summer was the first ever that I had to wear socks and shoes and long pants *all* summer. Plus have the heater going full blast by my desk. I imagine it will be the same this year, too.

Yes, my especially red toenails and open toed shoes also came out this weekend!

No ladybirds here though, just some annoying gnats (can tell from the bites :/)

Oh, gorgeous shoes! Let the toes come out.

Charlie certainly looks like he's enjoying all the sun!

Happy Sunday Old Kitty.

Time for a pedicure here. Maybe I'll take a cue from the ladybirds ans do arres-me-red with seven black spots!

Well, the bugs piqued Charlie's interest.

As to your question, it isn't Jan's birthday. There was a mixup at the CB but it's okay now. Jan says she'll accept most anything -- except an extra birthday.

You obviously got the best of the weather today. The south coast got the wind and the poor old marathon runners got the rain!

Lovin' those shoes! Really love.

And Charlie, you've got the right idea for a Sunday afternoon...just lazing around.

enjoy the walking! :)

Glad your feet are free to wear sandles - we have been show free for weeks here. Thankfully at work they allow us to wear any shoe but flip flops! I hate shoes.

Glad it has warmed up there enough for those pretty sandals!

We call them "ladybugs" across the pond. Thye are supposed to bring good luck!

I wanted to see your toenails!! Must get mine done properly - I love in squishy flip-flops all summer, not as glamorous as your sandals but I can't wear heels at all, so I have to make up for it when I do my nail polish - last year I got some sparkly flowery bits to put in the polish- very, very fiddly but looked posh! xx

I have a ladybird love nest in the bedroom. Unfortunately all that lovin' seems to be bad for them so I'm forever crunching on little corpses when I get out of bed. Oh dear! Still I suppose their lives are happy ones....
