Because of her

Today is my Three Month Old Blog Birthday.

I'd like to raise a glass of el vino to my tough ol girl who gave me the incentive not only to begin this blog but to take story writing seriously.

Because of her, I keep on going.

There are and have been so many times when I just want to give up this writing malarky because I know that there are a million others far better at this craft than I am!

But the cost of all of her vets bills are not going to go away and it's motive enough to keep on trying.

Because of her I'm meeting so many wonderful, kind and extremely creative bloggie friends.

Because of her I've met the delectable Charlie

Who is proving a hit with the neighbours!

Here is a welcome gift received yesterday all for him from our lovely neighbour two doors down.

Charlie says to open the pressie after his snooze!

Have a lovely April Fool's Day everyone!

Congrats on your 3 month blog birthday! It is a great blog and I always look foward to reading it. We are still sad that your girl had to go, and we know you are too. But she had to have a hand (paw really) in bringing you Charlie, knowing he would help to make you feel at least a bit better. And it is great that she inspired you to write - I wish my kitties could do that. Mainly they inspire me to drink :)

Your old girl has brought so much to your life. We are raising a niptini in her memory. Without her, we would have never met you!

Congrats on your anniversary! Blogging is such an amazing thing, isn't it? I think we all start out thinking it will be a way to get more writing done and then we discover that the real benefit is the fantastic community.

Happy three month blog birthday! Keep plugging away, we are always harder on ourselves don't you think. Your blog is great. Stands to reason your writing is too!

Oh were you just playing an April Fools joke? I bet you were! Happy First of April to you and Charlie.

What a lovely tribute to your tough old girl! And I love that the neighbors gave Charlie a welcome gift - how sweet of them! Happy April Fool's Day to you too.

Oh, Charlie is such a fluffball!

Happy three-month anniversary. Is it possible I've known you for such a short time? I'm glad that your old cat inspired you and your new cat is making you happy.

Keep writing. There are always people more talented than us, but we can't let that stop us from doing what we love.

Happy three month old blog birthday! There is a reason for everything. Your tough old girl saw something very special in you. That is your writing. :) I love your writing. It's fun and it keeps me coming back for more. Have you considered writing a book about you and your old girl? :)

I'll raise a cup to your tough old girl!

It doesn't seem possible it's only three months since I met you; it feels like you're an old friend. (And old friends are the best!)

Congrats on three-months blogging!

We'll raise a toast to your "ol girl" too...and one to Charlie as well, who seems very content with his forever home. :-)

Never give up writing; it's already opened new vistas for you. Who knows what it could bring to you in the future?

Congratulations on your anniversary.

Plus — cute cat.

Anyhow, you've successfully badgered me into giving you a blog award.

Can't find any contact details so you may not want to pick it up, but if you do, just drop me an email.

We are just excited that you started blogging and at least got to meet Ole Kitty. We know you miss her like crazy but maybe Charlie is helping a little bit. We totally enjoy coming and reading your blog. It is a great one. We are very thankful that you decided to give the blog a good try.

Maximus Spittimus would like to point out two things.

1) You write fine
2) His Two Legs is an idiot regardless of the date.

Wow 3 months!
Concats on the anniversary.
In that short period of time so much has happened.
We are sad that in this time frame the old girl had to pass over the Bridge, but her spirit did bring Charlie to your heart. We believe she is still watching out over you and helping inspire you with your writing.

Hi fairyhedgehog

Awwww! I can't believe it's three months only too!

I remember I only wanted to leave a message in one of the earliest blogs in 2007 - it was Nik Perring's blog actually and I really resented that I had to create a google account just to leave a comment.

I'm so glad I did now - I'm loving blogging esp meeting wonderful bloggers like yourself!

Yay!

Hi Kim

Awww thank you! I know I moan about the writing but you know I don't think I can ever give it up!
I'd not be me!

When my tough ol girl was on her last legs (paws?) people kept asking me if I'd have another cat or pet and I'd never know what to answer - the pain of losing them is just too much but you know, I'm so, so, so glad and grateful Charlie sought me out. I'd not be true to myself if I didn't have Charlie.
