Summer Time and the living is (relatively) easy...

The good news is that I ate most of the apple dappy cake.

The even better news is that I've written exactly 137 words of my Part 1, Chapter 1: The Re-Write From Scratch. Yay!

Now Charlie's tail says, nuff already

It's officially Summer Time, so clocks go an hour ahead here in the UK. So really it's past 1 am. Yikes!

:-)

And just as I'm about to log off, up pops this lovely poem from Ann of InkpotNQuills, these lovely pics from Kim at Musings on a Small Life, and earlier there was this gorgeous sunset from ManxMNews, why I too heart cats from the amazing 9 Lives and Times of Thomasina and this lovely Easter display from Felted House.

And finally there's Stacy Chambers' Lament - her piano composition from her brand new site. I played Lament the morning my ol girl died and still feel a pain in my heart where she now lives when I hear it.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

You are up late!

Good luck with your recreation of your old manuscript. I still hope you break the code, but any writing is good writing. If you get the first one back, it will be interesting to compare the two versions.

I hope you and Charlie have a lovely Sunday too.

Well, congrats on getting so far into the writing already. I would still be on word one (maybe two). And that happens to me too - things pop up when I am about to log off. My problem is that I get behind so then the new stuff pops up and I visit and stay behind!

So now you will have the dark mornings too.

Well done on the 137 words! Thank you so very much for linking to my little poem. So very generous of you! Have a wonderful Sunday.

Ah - every ten years or so I miss the clocks changing. I've just read your blog and gone 'What? Gah! Oh...'

The last time I missed it I'd taken my daughter swimming. We always went first thing, when the pool was emptier. That Sunday it was unusually crowded...

We had our time change two weeks ago, so have been enjoying the extra daylight. Though I admit it's harder to leave the house at 6AM, in the dark!

Thank you for linking to my Musings blog; that was a surprise. BTW, I didn't realize the Thomasina blog was the same person as Noir's Nook until I saw Uncle MaxMaxx's photo. LOL.

Anyway, enjoy your Sunday--and the rest of the apple dappy cake. (Are you going to post the recipe? Is it easy to make?)

And good luck with the writing! I still hope you are able to access your entire document too!

I know you can re-write it, you are very good at writing!

Congrats on your first words! And, of course, the cake consumption.

I completely forget we were changing our clocks last night and I wasn't best pleased at losing an hour this morning! However, it will be nice to have an extra hour of light at night - and maybe the darkness in the morning will discourage the annoying peeping bird who has made a comeback!

Good luck with recreating your manuscript! We're still betting you remember the password.

Thank you for the kind words on our backyard sunset. Momma thought it was really pretty against the black silhouettes of the trees.

You asked about our "gizzy". A few years ago Darling Millie's Mom needed to make a few extra $$$. She's a quilter and decided to offer Kitty quilts. They caught on so well that she extended her first batch into many others. I think she still make custom kitty quilts. They were called "gizzys" in honor of her then cat Gizzy who has since gone on up ahead to the Rainbow Bridge. Her website is darlingmillie.blogspot.com if you haven't had a chance to visit I highly recommend a vist. You'll meet Millie who is an internet "catlebrity" all on her own. She was a feral who was hit by a car and a stranger saw it, he took the cat to a vet and then raised the money on the internet to pay for the cost of her care. He then moved to Mexico (I think) and had to adopt the cat out and Millie's Mom took her...she's a wonderful tuxie girl and such a story!

Does the fact that you're rewriting the old manuscript mean that you weren't unable to unlock the password? Good luck with the rewrite - I'm sure it will be even better than before!

But I thought that apply dapply cake was for Daniel! why is that good news? Well, I mean, obviously good news that you had most of it, but what did you "bribe" Daniel with? Or does he have a small appetite, and maybe THAT's the good news!??

Or perhaps my brain is just fried today. Anyway I hope you have recreated your password now.

Haha, that is exactly what Charlie's tail is saying!! That's what came to mind as soon as I saw the photo, even before reading the post! Makes me thing that cats must communicate with their tails?

Hello there my chum!

First off all, I do think Charlie's floof tail does say it all! I know you'll get more words down on your manuscript.

Second, Thank YOU for mentioning my I Heart Cats post on my blog. It is a never ending discussion--for instance, in the grocery store, an hour or so ago, the cashier saw my cat food and she askes how many I have. She goes on to tell me how she just can't feel cats--why? Because they're 'sneaky' I've heard more often than not. Ms. Cashier said she couldn't stand how they rub up against her legs and look at her. She apologized for not liking them. I laughed and told her, cats evidently aren't for everyone...

Anyway, we do look forward to hearing more about your writing! Let Charlie be your muse!!

Happy Summer! Bet that cake was delicious! Say hit to Charlie for us!

Oh good luck with the rewrite! And with the cake eating. I spent a good part of today doing both myself.

Although rather more of the cake eating than the writing, if I'm entirely truthful...

I can't cope with all this changing clocks malarkey - why can't they just leave it alone?! :)

Hi Theresa Milstein!

I've been given quite a few links to freeware. When I get a chance i'll run them as they slow down everything if I try to blog and run the programme!

Anyway - I hope you had a lovely Sunday too!
