Charlie

Last month How Publishing Really Works ran a story about Charlie who needed a new home.

The story is here and there's pics of him too.

I don't know what possessed me but I left a comment yesterday asking if he still needed a new home. I thought, it's been weeks now he must have found somewhere lovely because he's such a lovely looking cat...

Well to my surprise I received a reply to say, no, he's still looking for a home. ASAP.

Anyway to cut a long story short.....

He's found me.

And he's being driven all the way from Leicester to Hertfordshire this weekend by the lovely Jo and her brother.

Oh. My.

My heart is palpitating. I've just lost my tough ol girl....I miss her terribly. And I still cry.

Oh. My.

Oh what a wonderful thing to read!! Charlie is very lucky!! And I really think that a certian Kitty is the one who brought you two together - she is watching over you from the bridge, and wants you to be happy! Charlie is beautiful and we know you will give him a very wonderful home!!

I think this is a lovely and fitting way to honor your sweet girl, to give a home to a needy cat.

He is absolutely gorgeous, and I look forward to hearing more about him when he reaches you!

It was meant to me! I am really excited for you.

On a side note, I didn't realize you were in England. My mom is from Chester and all our family still lives around there.

He looks gorgeous! It's comforting to have a kitty to cuddle when you're mourning one you've lost and you'll be so wonderful for him.

You know, I wondered whether you'd think about taking Charlie on...That's brilliant! He's gorgeous and it was clearly Meant To Be.

I think this is wonderful! He's a gorgeous cat, hard to believe he hadn't found a home, but I rather suspect he was waiting for YOU!

Nicola Slade said...

I think it's 'meant' too, particularly as Charlie is going from one writer to another. I'm sure he'll be an inspiration to you!

SF said...

Ha ha, Old Kitty that's brilliant! Good for you, hope he settles in well.

Oh Charlie is so handsome and we are so excited that you are getting another cat. And it was meant to be. He came along just when you needed someone. I can't wait to hear how it all works out. He looks like such a nice cat. And sitting in the bath tub. What a good boy.

Kath McGurl said...

Aw, well done to you! I was wondering whether anyone had given Charlie a home. Am so glad he's found a home with such a cat-lover. I wish you both a long and happy life together. What a TAIL that cat's got! Puts my litle tabbies to shame.

That is just wonderful. I was hoping you would get another kitty in your house. It does help to heal when you take in another needy soul! Bless you for taking Charlie and may you two have so many wonderful years together. I can't wait until he arrives!

What a gorgeous-looking cat! All cats are beautiful, but Charlie is something special, going by his photos.

How lucky you checked - I'd have assumed he'd have gone, too.

I am SO glad about this. I've known Charlie via the internet for a few years now, and can vouch for his good character and ridiculous joke tail. I'm so glad you have offered him a home, and hope you'll be very happy together.

Well he was simply meant to find you... there's no two ways about it!

I don't know if you ever saw the film of The Never-Ending Story but when I saw his photo the first thing I thought was 'luck dragon'!

And what an amazing tail..... :)

Out of sadness springs hope. Charlie is coming into your life. This is a wonderful, kind thing you have done, to offer Charlie a home. Charlie and the little red rose bush will make this Spring special.

awww this makes me cry. :) I am so happy for you and Charlie. He has found a wonderful mother :). After we lost Snowman, we were heartbroken. then one day I saw my friend trying to find a home for her cat, so I talked to her right away. I just couldn't wait. The next day, I went to her place to pick up the kitten. He was not like Snowman at all - super active and jumpy - but he brought sunshine into our lives :). He is my father's baby now.
