The Belly Rules the Mind

That's a loaf of bread and an apple dappy cake baked fresh by yours truly.

Why?

Well I have a cunning plan on how to crack my elusive password.

Remember Daniel - he who works with me on Sunday? He doubles up as an I.T. man in his other job.

And he likes cake. Or I think he does. And if he doesn't more for me! That's if I can keep my hands off the cake today. I probably won't though.. it looks and smells so apply and yummy...

Either way his brain is gonna be picked for ideas, suggestions and possible solutions that won't cost me $29.99 - the current going rate for all the shareware available to crack word doc passwords.

p.s. I know I said I was zen-ned out about this password, but I lied! I'm not, I'm not! Sorry!

Thanks everyone and especially Jane Smith of How Publishing Really Works and lovely Jo who gave me Charlie for all your great suggestions with my password!

The bread on the otherhand is mine, all mine!

And so really I ought to have just taken a leaf out of Charlie's book.

His suggestion? Find a nice windowsill and have a snooze. Oh and ignore that crazed woman and her new flashy toy.

Have a lovely Saturday everyone!

I do hope your crack the password dilemma, Old Kitty! Hopefully it will just pop back into your head because your subconscious is working on it. If not, I hope the IT guy can help!
Bread and cake look scrumptious!

Charlie sounds like a very smart cat - a sunny window and a snooze sounds like a great idea. Good luck with your password quest!

The cake and bread look delicious. I hope Daniel cracks the password dilemma. Who wouldn't crack a password dilemma for a piece of that wonderful looking cake, I ask you!

Charlie is looking very happy!
The cake thing is pretty sneaky of you, but in a cunning kind of way.
We gives you a reward for having a big heart to give Charlie a home.

Charlie looks right at home! He must be happy with you (and your camera).

My husband likes to bake bread and his father was a bread baker. Your bread looks like it was baked by a professional!

I'm glad you haven't given up on your password. I hope the bribe works! Keep us posted.

Hi Old Kitty, good to see Charlie is making himself at home!

Hope you manage to crack the password on your novel. I thought perhaps the bread and cake were meant to trigger some kind of repressed memory of it by association with baking smells.

But I'm sure an IT person will work just as well. It's a Word document for crying out loud, not the MI5 intranet!

I hope your cunning plan works!

I don't bake bread. I can make a pizza base with bread dough, but my bread is always too solid to be delicious.

Hope the cake does the trick! Passwords are a bit of a nightmare. I'm always changing them and forgetting them straight after.

Neither the cake nor the bread would last long with me around. I hope the lure of sweets does the trick and Daniel is able to assist you.

BTW, Charlie definitely has the right approach to life. :-)

Squeal! Charlie is so cute.

Your photo of the bread made me drool. I love bread so much - almost as much a cupcakes and sticky toffee pudding (almost, but not quite!). I swear I go through a loaf every two days!

Good luck with the password. Keep us posted!

Hello Charlie, I bet that bread smells really good!

Oh my that bread and cake looks good. Our Mom sure couldn't let that sit around long. And do take notes from Charlie, and take a snooze and then maybe the password will pop in your head. Could the password be OleKitty?? Think of things from three years ago. That is an idea. Whoever gets the password gets the bread or the cake. Have a great week end.

Hope the baked goods work and you get your password!

Well, Old Kitty. It looks like you've found a very special spot to gather your thoughts and for taking a snooze.

I must confess I've never ever heard of dappy cakes before! Are they good? (well they must be, or you wouldn't be baking them - silly question Alex!)

Keep a close eye on them though or tomorrow's post may be the one where you discover exactly how much Charlie likes fresh bread and apple dappy cakes! :)

Charlie that is a fantastic picture of you in the windsill -- it's like you're glowing, and you know what? I think you are -- from happiness.
