A Tardy Five

It’s my 5 month blog birthday!! Yay!!

So yesterday I went to the Ritz sporting the pimple on my chin that would have been funny if my sister didn’t beat me to it.

No, she didn’t spontaneously erupt in a pustule as big as mine.
Nope.

Wonderful bloggie friends, she was an hour and 10 minutes late.

We are booked into a specific timeslot of 1 hour and 30 minutes

(not 20 as I mistakenly said in my last blog post!).

We had exactly 20 minutes to eat, drink and be merry.

We have never sipped freshly brewed tea and ate perfectly cut and sliced sarnies, beautiful warm soft scones, meltingly delicious teensy weensy bitesize cakes so fast as we did then!

We had a great time!

Charlie says: So did I while you were away, me and my nip-cushion!

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!

Only 20 minutes! Oh, no! Really, I think your sister should re-book and show up on time! Better yet, YOU book with a friend and go for the full 90 minutes.

And where are the pictures?

At least Charlie didn't need an appointment for his nip cushion. ;-)

Oh, I forgot to wish you a happy blog birthday! Sorry!

So a very happy 5th month blog birthday! Congratulations!

Well, 20 minutes fast is better than zero minutes slow! Charlie, have a nip for me please. Hey, come see my Tuesday post tomorrow, we had a Royal visitor...really!

Drag! Only 20 minutes to eat. I hope not one ladylike crumb was missed. And I suppose they don't do a doggie bag, either.
Charlie probably had the better idea, and he didn't have to worry about acne!
At least you got to wear the fabulous dress.

LOL! Can imagine you and your sister eating quickly in style while Charlie savours his slowly!

What? An hour and ten minutes late? What did you do all that time while you were waiting? I usually give up on someone after twenty minutes or so, you're much more patient than I am! I'm so glad you had a great time!

You've only been doing this for 5 months? You must have started up right before Nicola's birthday party. That's where I found you, and many other awesome bloggers who are now my favorites, like Ann Ormond and Theresa Milstein. So it's kind of my birthday too, because I spiffied up my blog for her birthday and settled on a platform. Before that I was all over the place and I think I had about 20 followers.

ROFL! Glad you had a good time, anyway... and happy blogoversary!

Oh no! I'm glad you managed to have fun anyway. I'm not sure I'd still be speaking to my sister if she did that.

(Mind you, my sister is usually an hour or so early for everything.)

We are sorry you had to swallow your afternoon tea so quickly - is your sister always this late we wonder. We hope you managed to taste everything as it went down.
Charlie had a good afternoon with his nip cushion so he must have had a high old time!

Happy happy happy 5th month blog birthday!

Well, at least it was 20 "QUALITY" minutes of fun and food and sisters bonding! :)

As for my dear, dear Charlie, he seems to have bonded well with his nip-cushion!! :)

Love ya all!

Happy Blog Anniversary! I am not sure I would have waited that long--not even for my sister.

Wish I could have stayed home with Charlie and played with his pillow!

First of all—New Follower! *waves*

I don’t know how I’ve missed your blog for five months—we follow a lot of the same blogs, and I have 6 cats!—but I’ve found you now! (Cue ominous music) I love connecting with other writers, so I can’t wait to get to know you through your posts.

I do a lot of my blog hopping at work, so I don’t always comment—but I’m an excellent lurker, so I’m still reading, even if you don’t see me.

Nice to meet you and happy blogoversery. This post cracked me up. I'll have to remember not to read your blog while drinking anything for fear of spit takes. :)

Oof, that is.... you are sounding amazingly restrained about it actually. I would have been using the kind of language that would probably have got me thrown out of somewhere like that before she even turned up!

Happy blog birthday though. At least that's come round on time! :)

Wow congrats on 5 months! It is so great that you are here - we always love to see comments from you at our blog and to read your posts (though we are terrible about keeping up we still love to read them). And we think it stinks that your sister was late - we would have started without her (well ok, I would have, the cats would have been at home, and oh yeah, they wouldn't have even waited to be seated they would have started on someone elses foods).

And Hi Charlie!! You look like you are having a lot of fun!!

Happy anniversay. And I admit, I would have KILLED my sister had she done that. Unless of course she had a good reason. Which they usually do.

I'm glad you had fun. Twenty minutes worth of fun, but still...

Your outfit was gorgeous!

Wow, I hope your sister had an excellent excuse?! That's so sad that you had to wait so long to have tea at the Ritz & then race through your tea & scones & cakes...but at least you got to enjoy it in hyperspeed! At least you can say you've at tea at the Ritz!

Happy 5 month b'day! :)

Glad to see that Charlie was productive while you were away.

Oh no! Why was she so late? Did they seat you or make you wait? Did you at least get to sip some tea before she arrived?
