Waiting for techno-dot

My pc is still dead.

The techno dude or dudette from faraway Dell Inc who are the only ones able to revive it are still to call to make an appointment.

In the meantime I am trying my best to keep up with the blog universe using my out of date and about to collapse laptop from last century.
:-)

In the meantime too, I have also been thinking. Stop laughing at the back, please!

Techno stuff are great but they tend to go out of date so quickly and each time they are replaced, a mountain of the clunky beasts that are no longer de riguer festers in some landfill somewhere.

So I was most glad to find these wonderful people who do the most amazing things with unwanted and no longer needed things.

Like these rather fab jewellry!

Zipper bracelets.

Total cost - nada. You just need tools and a lot of patience!

This is the portion where Charlie normally says something.

At the moment he is fast asleep and mumbling: "Yay, no more flashy thing!"

Have a creative Saturday, everyone!

Hi,
I feel so bad about your computer being out of whack.

At least you have internet access, even if it is a bit out of date. Is it a heavy laptop?

Those are cool bracelets. :)

Hope you get your Dell fixed tomorrow!

The zipper bracelets are really unique! :)

Happy weekends

Oh no! No more computer woes. In the beginning, the computers would be obsolete after a couple of years. At least that's gotten better. I know that doesn't help you with your disc and now your computer.

I want you to be able to write without all of these obstacles. You've had enough thrown at you the past couple of months.

If only Charlie were some sort of computer muse.

Hi, Kitty. Not quite Saturday here yet. About time for me and Jen to retire Friday.

How frustrating to try to blog with an old computer.

I still have my old laptop for scanning since I can't afford a new scanner. My getting a new computer a while back outdated my scanner. No driver available.

Outdated.

Sometimes I feel outdated, like this isn't my world. Sometimes I'd like to "go back" to the Fifties, the slower pace.

But I really do like computers and cell phones. How else would we be connecting with each other without them?!

What a great idea for recycling!

I really hope the tech people get your computer sorted out soon; I'd have thought they would have at least made the appt. by now.

Kitty (nose) kisses to Charlie from my crew and smooches to him from me!

Zipper bracelets! How cool! Of course being a Girls Aloud singer undercover I have plenty of these in my walk-in jewellery room, haha!

Here's hoping your PC gets well soon.

Hi to Charlie!

What a great recycling idea - those bracelets are so cute!

I'm sorry to hear about your computer problems! While I was on my blogcation, my laptop cord died and I had to wait for a new one to come in the mail. Luckily I could still use the big pc in the family room, but as I was reading through my wip out loud, it wasn't the best arrangement to be sure. I sure hope yours gets fixed soon!

Well that sure is frustrating. Thank heavens for the ole computer that seems to be making it right now. Tell Charlie we are missing seeing him but we do send him tons of purrs and head bumps.
Hope the puter gets fixed soon. Try to have a good week end.

I so stmpathise with you regarding computer people - if I'm given more than one instruction at a time I've had it - and why do they tell you things si technically!

I'm afraid that zipper bracelet would pluck my arm hair every time I moved.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

We wish you luck with your Dell! When our computer crashed from an unknown cause it was NOT any fun trying to fix it, so we can identify with you right now! :)

Hello to Charlie! Hope the Dell Dude shows up soon! But BRAVO for persevering, posting, and commenting, on a dinosaur!

I went back to Blogger comments (again) since the point is to make it easier for folks to comment. :) Also deleted some stuff from my blog in hopes that it might load faster for my followers.

Thanks for your faithful and cheerful communication!

Hope it's all fixed soon, I'm stunned when I look back to see how much more dependent I am on having computer access now than I was even a few short months ago, let alone years! Give Charlie a stroke from me! xx

We hope you've heard from the techno-people! You are right how quickly these gadgets become out of date. That is why we still putz around on a 1994 Dell. It was update in 1998, so in another way I can say it's a 1998 Dell because it got totally new "guts"! Still....it's so ancient and we lovingly look at the "new" toys on the market and sigh, but we'll hang on just a bit longer....
GOOD LUCK!

Hi Charlie!!
