Fantasy travels

Bloggie friends, I know I’ll not travel anywhere for a holiday soon - mainly because of one reason

This:

Awwwww I can't leave him!

But if I ever did travel somewhere, it'll be to these places:

1) New York

But where can I combine visiting NYC with the scribbler and reader in me?

The Library Hotel, New York.

2) I'd love to explore the Netherlands further so how else to combine that with the alcoholic in me (I'm kidding - I like my wine but responsibly!!)?

Rooms here are made out of recycled wine casks!

3) And what about England? I'm talking cheese and chocolate and green and pleasant land!

The Chocolate Room in the Wensleydale Heifer, North Yorkshire.

Aaah one of these days!

Have a dreamy Tuesday everyone!

If you come to New York, let me know and I'll make the trip down.

Can't a neighbor watch Charlie? Your cat seems as comfortable outside as inside. I bet he'd adapt well to a visitor or a neighbor's place too.

When we travel more than a couple of days, we bring our cat to a friend's house. Sometimes when I pick her up, she's in no rush to leave!

It's no fun on travel holiday when worry is gnawing at you. Might as well stay home worry-free and do virtual travelling. :)

How about a Cat Cafe in Japan?
Meow times ten!
I hate to leave my "kids", too.

I love your picks! But of course you can't go and leave Charlie behind. Does Charlie like to travel?

I want to go to Leek and London, but am going to settle for Denver, Colorado this year.

Give Charlie a pat for me. :)

Oh if money was no object, what fun we would all have! I love the wine cask rooms, but wonder whether they would still smell a bit, you know, casky? My ideal would be the Library hotel... with a Chocolate Room. I'd never move!

I know what you mean about leaving Charlie. I live with my mum at the moment, so my cats are sorted if I go away but I'm the regular cat-sitter for my friends - perfect for me, as I get time to chill out, perfect for their cats as I am the soppiest cat-lover known to, well, Cat, and treat them with the due reverence they demand!

You find the neatest things to blog about!

I have fantasy travels also, but they revolve around national parks, historic sites, walking/hiking tours of Britain, New Zealand, etc. No big cities for me, please. :-)

I had no idea there was a hotel that did a chocolate room - that sounds very interesting.

Re. my post: Not "oozing," the word that follows it. Makes me want to gag! And heavens, don't okay this comment, it's totally unrelated to your blog post, just couldn't think of a way to respond to your comment!

That is one thing that I can take or leave - traveling. It isn't that I don't want to visit cool placed - I do. I just HATE the whole airport experience enough that it is easier to stay home (the plane is fine, it is the airport itself where I might some day get into a fist fight).

But I am like you - I just can't leave the kitties (plus seriously, who would take care of them - they are crazy!)

charlie could travel in a pet crate, but the cost is prohibitive...

nazdarovja, charlie! ;)

Wonderful places to dream of visiting on vacation...I love NYC and England, but have never been to the Netherlands (been to Dutch Aruba, but that doesn't really count!); I would love to visit there...I know what you mean about leaving Charlie; leaving my babies is the worst part of traveling and I've limited myself the last few years=it's hard to leave them for 1-2 weeks!...Have a great day friends...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

Must visit:
The Library Hotel
The Chocolate Room
Is there a place where they're combined??? :)

They all sound like great spots to me! We stay close to home too with our elderly cats who need special care. I trade off with friends who have lots of cats - they watch mine and I watch theirs!
