Peculiar Pancake Posturing

Meet Jim.

Jim likes making pancakes for his 3 year old daughter.

But not just any ol pancake like how I make them (flat and round-ish and batter coloured).

He makes them look like these:

What a Dad!

And if you want to know how he does these works of wonder - go here for more pics and how to videos.

And yes that's a "bling" pancake necklace he's wearing aroung his neck.

Charlie says: This is not a pancake - it's an abomination!

May you all have a joyous Wednesday!

Oh man! I want some pancakes like this! Mine come out as abstract art.

Mommy says: Amazing, but pancakes must be fluffy amorphous blobs, browned on one side and burnt on the other, preferably with blueberries.
The Baby eats pancakes in any form!

Are those edible?

I feel so inadequate! My own amorphous blobs may be tasty, but lack the wow factor.

Those are amazing pancakes!

People who create food that looks this good make me look bad. My pancakes are only moderately round. Roundish.

Charlie looks like he has a pretty sweet set up. My old cat had one of those but she preferred to use her claws on my couch. And under my bed.

Cool pancakes! And I thought I was doing good to put the little Mickey Mouse ears on them. :)

Ok, those are the coolest looking pancake pictures I have ever seen. Even better then the bunny with a pancake on its head. Until now that was the coolest pancake picture I had seen.

And well, the cats think that the abomination looks pretty fun to whap around!!

Now, I'm feeling inadequate, nothing like my pancakes, but I'm sure they all taste the same.

Mama wouldn't have the patience to make them pancakes and I would take big bites out of them hehe
Charlie you look like your playing a little game there!

Wow, what a dad. I've never seen pancake art before. It almost would be a shame to eat them. I wonder what he does for a living! Sculpture? Chef? Cake-decorator?

Give Charlie a big smooch from me; he looks terrific!

Wouldn't the pancake crane be rather cold? For me pancakes come out of the pan, onto the plate, covered in sugary goo and eaten double quick. If I'd have had to wait for them to be constructed into a crane I think I would have been a bit grumpy as a small child!

Those sure are fancy pancakes but they look yummy too. Jim is quite the artist.
Charlie you are looking good playing with your toy. You and your Mom have a wonderful day.

Hi Charlie - you are looking very floofy today and very cuddly. We've not tried pancakes yet we'll have to get Mum to make some for us.

That's amazing! I'm happy if I can make them relatively round and not too warped looking!

Incredible. This man has a lot of time on his hands!

These pancakes are works of art. And make mine look boring and insipid. Still they get grabbed up, so I refuse to feel inadequate today. :)

Muttie says thanks for commenting on her column. She really appreciates it.

Charlie looks like he's enjoying his toys. :)

Thanks for checking out Brigid's guest post on my blog, Write Olive. Love these pancakes, they are works of art! Almost too good to eat, but not quite:)

Well of course Charlie wouldn't like those pancakes - he's much too sophisticated to eat something shaped like a giraffe. He's a cat, not a kid:)

Oh wow - I wish I could make pancakes like that!!!

I love the turtle. No point in me attempting to imitate these - pancakes are eaten straight from the pan in my house!
