Painting the Irony

Sizzling Bloggie friends - this weekend is proving the warmest weekend of the month so far and what happens?

I've come down with a stinker of a cold.

Oh the The Irony! On the hottest weekend and I am feeling like death warmed up.

Anyway, I am so determined to enjoy this weather that I've taken my toesies out and am in summer sandal heaven!

Now I'm all for looking good in pedicured toesies painted bright pink but even I draw the line to this:

This unfortunate cutie is Coco - David and Victoria Beckham's dog. Oh dear. In another life he's a bulldog.

Charlie says: I don't understand irony but I dig the sun! And pink is so not my colour!

Have a virus-free Sunday everyone!

Hope you feel better, I think sunshine is the perfect medicine for a cold.

Oh poor you. :o( I'm still recovering from the description of your last cold!! hehe

Lots of purrs and healing Light and (((hugs)))! I hope you feel better soon.

That poor bulldog's toes are ridiculous, IMO. For heaven's sake, let non-human animals be non-human animals. LOL.

Charlie has the right idea to soak up the sun...and no painted claws, either, I presume. ;-)

Hope you feel better soon, Jenn; Spring/Summer colds are the worst!...I don't understand painting animal nails!...I used to always get my toenails painted red (I'm just not girly enough to have pink toes!!...Been on a french pedicure kick lately, it seems to look good about 2 weeks longer=trying to save a little money where I can!)...We love how Charlie stretches out where ever he is=he's such an awesome, handsome boy!...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

Get well soon!

I absolutely HATE it when I get sick on pretty days. Actually, I absolutely HATE it when I get sick at all. I feel your pain...

P. S. That poor dog needs a hug. Or new owners. I'm not sure which :(

Get well soon. It is much too nice out to be stuck inside.

Oh, Jen and I are so sorry you have a spring cold. They're the worst, she says. Poor lady.

But the cold hasn't destroyed your wonderful creativity and sense of humor. This is delightful. It brightened our rainy evening here in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

How did they get that dog to sit still while they painted his toenails???

I am so sorry you are sick! It's the worst when the conditions for fun are there, and you're unable to enjoy it fully because of illness. Colds stink. I hope you get better soon, and Charlie is darling. (I could never paint my pet's nails. I can't even get my own done . . .)

Sorry to hear that you have a cold-what a cute photo of Charlie-my husband is starting to feel better finally-although I think that my body has reached its breaking point-I broke a blood vessel in my eye so now I have the scary face look going on

That is ridiculous - who would go to that effort? My dogs would throw me out of the house if I attempted such a thing :) Hope you'll get better soon x

We hope you feel better soon - colds are doubly horrible when the weather is warm. Have a restful day and let Charlie's purrs work a miracle for your recovery by tomorrow.

Sorry you are sick. That really stinks. Hope you feel better soon.
The pink toes are hysterical.
And Charlie you sure are looking good as usual. Enjoying your wonderful life thanks to your super Mom.
Have a great day.

Coming down with colds in nice weather is unfair! There's something going around in The States too. In fact, both of my children are sniffling this morning + they had two-day colds last week. Who knew a person could even have a cold for such a short time?

Sit out with Charlie in the sun. Feel better soon!

I think it was Kate Hudson's son who had the long hair and black fingernails? I thought that was a bit much on a toddler.

Once our cat was scratching at a wound, and she wouldn't stop... and a collar just depressed her. We tried these little plastic nail covers for cats... softpaws. She only had them on one back foot, but oh she was stylin!

(She's still bitching about it, 5 years later.)

Ohhhhh Are you OK?
Hope you feel better soon!

And we feel sorry for the cute Coco.
She doesn't have to be that posh.
She must be cute enough without those pinks....

ICK. Cold stink--the problem is you're too stuffed up to smell anything! Take care of yourself, and I betcha Charlie helps out too!! Speaking of, my kitty Noir thinks Charlie looks like a cool cat out in the sun. I tell Noir, he could be like Charlie--and get a spot of sun. Noir says he's too busy watching the house on the inside....

Take care!!
Pity the poor puppy with the pink nails!

Hope you're feeling better. Too bad about the timing of the cold. But it can also be due to the changes in temperatures.

What is Charlie's favorite color?
