Borrow. A. Librarian.

Oh Charlie look how wet and cold it is outside!

What shall we do?

I know – we can go and borrow a librarian!

Yes, you read it right.

Borrow. A. Librarian.

The fun people at the Writer's Centre in Norwich (Norfolk, Southeast England) are having a "Borrow a Librarian" weekend in June.

This is their publicity for it.

Borrow Me! The Human Library

Imagine borrowing a person from your local library in the same way you would borrow a book. How easily would you ‘read’ the book? Would you find what you expected to, and can you really judge a book by its cover?
*****************************************************************

Now if my local library staff look like this:

Then I'm putting a reservation to borrow one for overnight and will be quite willing to pay any late charges.

Have a lovely book-filled Monday everyone!

Borrow a librarian? Very innovative! Yes, I think many of us would be happy to incur late charges for borrowing Daniel. Mmmm, oh yes!

BTW, I see you've added a "help Lucky" blurb in your sidebar; great idea.

Have a good Monday!

O.K.,
I have a feeling that would be a very interesting event to attend. I'm hoping you go there and check it out & report your findings!

What would the overdue fees for Daniel Craig run??? :)

Hi Charlie

We wondered what book you would chose out of the library?

You might even be shaken, not stirred! Howdy Charlie!

None of the librarians in Cambridge look like him either. Is there something we can do about this?

If we can, cuddling up with a good librarian would be the best way to spend a chilly evening.

no use for him, but a female librarian'd do nicely ;) lol

hey charlie, kenny sez: HI!

Good idea Charlie. Would love to borrow one who is also a handyman to help do minor repairs to the house.
Cute hamster and lovely of you to help Bin out.

Oh Charlie, it looks miserable out there for sure. We are meant to be having winter here but the summer never seems to go away, we should be happy but Mama like the grizzly grey weather - no idea why!

Interesting idea, can I put Daniel on reserve ?

If my librarian looked like that I'd be too afraid of him doing that pouty bottom lip thing at me to return books late.

Love the idea! Mm, I especially love your idea of borrowing Daniel Craig... he's yummy. I watched Layer Cake recently just because he's in it, lol (that's the role that purportedly won him the role of James Bond).

Borrow a librarian, what a brilliant idea! I would hope that mine would look as handsome as him, then again the waiting list would be crazy long wouldn't it!

Cute picture, love the cat!

Whay a good idea to borrow a librarian - unfortunately all the ones in our local library are female.

Can I put in a reservation to borrow someone who likes hoovering and cleaning bathrooms please?

I will put you on the back of my bike like we did as children. I would not mind borrowing a librarian. Have a lovely Monday. Maybe Charlie could check out a library kitty.

I think I might "lose" the Daniel Craig book and never return it; I'd just have to be the library book thief!!...Kisses to Charlie..Happy week friends...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

I had to go check that link to find out exactly what I could borrow them for! But it doesn't appear you can borrow them out of the library, which is a good thing, I reckon. Interesting idea though... I wonder how many people will take them up on it?! And yes, I agree with Charlie, it is far to cold and wet to do anything, apart from possibly eat chocolate with a cup of tea.

Oh you naughty Kitty!

That sounds like a real winner to borrow a librarian. We certainly would want the overnight variety.
Sorry Charlie that it is wet and cold outside at your house. But at least you have a wonderful house to be in right now. You two have a wonderful week.

I could totally dig Daniel as a librarian. Hmm. I'd probably incur a lot of late charges.

Haha! Can you imagine if Daniel did turn up at your door?

Brilliant idea, borrow a librarian!

Hi to Charlie!

If I could borrow anyone from the library, it would probably be Lady Gaga. I am obsessed with her.
