Drool is not cool!

It’s warm and muggy and I’m on my way home from work.

It’s also a Sunday so train commuting is a bit relaxed and I have a whole carriage to myself.

I am on the Stansted Express train complete with a “food trolley service” where a train employee pushes a food trolley along the length of the train selling snacks and drinks and suchlike.

Of course minutes after I settle into my seat, I fall asleep.

And I am woken up by my snoring at the exact moment the guy pushing the food trolley walks past me.

Did I mention that in my stupor I had slid and slumped halfway down the seat, my head to one side, my hair now rivalling Einstein's with drool dripping from my mouth?!?!?

And that I was snoring?

Anyway, he did the polite and professional thing and asked if I wanted any refreshments.

Charlie says: I don't snore and I'm gorgeous even when asleep! I must be adopted!

Thank you beautiful bloggie friends for helping me with my crossword!! You are all just perfectly brainy and lovely and very naughty (Reenie!!)!

I got the first letter wrong - heh heh! Sorry about that!

So in your honour I had ten MINI choccie muffins! Yum, yum!

Have a momentous Monday everyone!

LOL...I have a funny train in England story too. When the fodd trolley went past, I got my daighter something, but decided I only wanted a drink. A few seconds after he passed us I changed my mind. I got up to request some crisps. I stuck my head in the first class doorway to ask him and WHAM, the door closed on my head! Yes, my head was half in first class and half in coach. I was so embarrassed and on top of everything, it hurt! Always say yes to the food trolley man when he offers you a drink and snack...

well! I would have TOTALLY gotten that had you had the first letter right...not!

I hope you were dreaming of those chocolate mini muffins...that would justify any drooling under any circumstances.

Charlie darling...you were adopted, so you're safe!

I'm sure the attendant has seen it all!! I am sure you were lovely nonetheless.

Hugs to Charlie!

I had to chuckle at this, since I do snore quite loudly and do, on occasion, drool. Fortunately, not on trains, but only because I don't fall asleep while traveling. Oh, that's not entirely true, either, I've been known to lightly doze on the bus, to and from work, when exhausted. No one's mentioned the snoring and drooling, however. Yet.

So did you order anything? Tip him well for being discreet? LOL.

Happy Monday. Wishing you a drool and snore-free day. :-)

Ooh so what was the answer????

You don't know for sure you were snoring, so just assume you weren't. As for the drooling, there may have been evidence.

It's very hard to compete with cats when it comes to cute napping. In all fairness, they get plenty of practice.

Happy Monday to you too!

That is hysterical. Charlie you must be adopted. Surely you don't drool. Too funny.
Hope all have a wonderful Monday and a great week too.

I feel for you! I was on a field trip in college (for a geology class... worst class ever), fell asleep on the bus and started snoring. One of the guys in my class snuck up, put his face next to mine, and let out a giant SNORT. I woke up; the guys all thought it was funny, and I did not. So embarrassing!

Thanks for posting today, your story made me laugh - even though I'd rather not be reminded of that field trip! lol. Oh, there's something for you on my blog post today, too, if you like. :)

Ouch how embarrassing.

Hmm, we used to have a cat who drooled like a dog when he was happy.

I don't know why but somehow cat drool seems less offensive than dog drool.

umps1991We're sorry but we had to giggle at your train story - especially the Einstein hair. I look like that every day when I get out of bed!!
Charlie is looking good today and I would love to have been able to reach him through the screen.
Hope you don't repeat the train story tonight ha ha !!

Don't you just hate that snort snore that wakes you up!! NOt that I would know anything about that! Did you have a cup of tea to settle your nerves? I hope so.Glad you got the crossword figured out. Have a wonderful Monday.

Charlie is an example to us all!

This was just downright hilarious!

Charlie REALLY is a rock star, even when he sleeps.

And don't worry about the drooling. Happens to the best of us :D

I don't know why, but I love trains. I even love the food served on trains, which is usually disgusting but tastes pretty good because...I am on a train!

Yay mini muffins! Gotta love those.

And drool can be cool! Um... okay maybe not. Still, once I went the whole way from an overland train through the underground from Kings Cross to Notting Hill Gate with one of those train head-rest covers that somehow got velcroed to the back of me. Now that was not cool!

I remember one time I was flying home from some trip, utterly exhausted. I fell asleep the moment we started heading to the runway for take-off. I didn't wake up until we hit the ground for landing...of course I woke up screaming because of the bump! Most embarassing :) Thank goodness it was a short flight and I didn't need a potty break :)

You are gorgeous, Charley. Heavenly! Kisses on your lovely little head.

I am pretty good at staying awake when I am on the NYC subway , but my husband always falls asleep if he is seated. He also sleeps on the bus and has actually slept past his stop and had to come back when he awakens at the end of the line.

Charlie is so handsome and knows it! :-)

When I used to take the train down for school I was always afraid I would fall asleep. I can't imagine how you must have felt - but at least you were pretty much alone - I am sure the food guy has seen it a lot of times before (and probably worse too). And Charlie, you are very beautiful when you sleep.

Can't imagine that happening on South West Trains - not sure I've ever had a non-non-verbal exchange of communication with the trolley people on there! (though I'd be bored out of my mind too if I had to ride between Basingstoke and Winchester and back all day!)

lol... a drooling snorer, charlie's right! ;)

O.K.,
It's fine that it happened because you at least got some much needed sleep! :)

Charlie does look gorgeous when he's asleep. But he gets more practice at it! :)

Snoring is just nature's way of letting the world know you're still breathing! Thanks for dropping my blog as you do, leaving comments. It means a lot to me, Roland

P.S. where did you pick up the hamster?

If we could videos of ourselves sleeping, we would all stay awake and not sleep! I sleep sprawled on my back with my legs thrown open (not even modestly covered by my tail)and my head on a pillow...I have been know to snore, also. But I AM cute! Thans so much for the healing purrs you are sending to Milo, she is still under observation and we are very concerned...alsa, even vets do a LOT of guesswork when it comes to reptiles.
