Spring Fever

Bloggie friends!!

I nearly got me a bargain coat from Next shop if it hadn’t been for this mad woman who grabbed it from the hanger as I was examining the sleeves.

Yes, bloggie friends!! She swiped the coat while I was holding the sleeves.

True story!

I was so shocked – I just stared at her while she strode bold as ..er.. brass.. to the till to buy it.

Talk about Spring Fever.

Charlie says: I smell bargains in this bag.

She failed to spoil my day however, as I got me a lovely skirt and top - both at half price!

Happy sunshine day everyone!

Half price is a great bargain. I'm sure you'll look SO spring-y and lovely!!

I once just missed getting to buy a wonderful lamp stand in a bargain store. Missed it by minutes. So frustrating!!

Your comments about my upcoming book on my posts and on Stephen Tremp's today have warmed my heart like you wouldn't believe on a day when here in Virginia we got snow! Not a lot, but enough to cover the grass and our van!! But I feel warm and still do thanks to you (and all of my other dear blogger friends). You are JUST wonderful!!! I'm so excited to have you read my book!!! Only 13 more pages to go on the galleys and then it'll be off to the publisher.

Wow, I can't believe how rude people can be sometimes! At least you still came away with some goodies :)

Charlie, She is better back there and fill the bag with CAT Treats !

Good for you. May it not fit her when she gets it home. A pox on grabby shoppers.

Hi Kitty,
I'm glad to hear this woman did NOT spoil your day and you still managed to get some great bargains. That's a great attitude!
I bet Charlie can smell the bargains a mile away ;)

Nothing like a pushy shopper to get one's blood up. We've all met them; we may have even been one, at some time or another. I hope the coat was too small for her. ~:)

Brigid O'Connor said...

The cheek of her! That coat will bring her no luck, glad you snapped up a lovely skirt and top, I love Next sales.

Ellen Brickley said...

Wow, that's rude!

I'm a seasoned flea market and charity shop shopper (this means I sharpen my elbows once a week!) and still I consider that beyond the Pale!

penandpaints said...

What a crazy shopper! That's dreadful behaviour! When Next have a sale on, you really see people's true natures. Horrible.
I'm glad you still got some bargains though and didn't let her ruin your day! xx

I know you are good at sniffin out the bargains Charlie!!!

Wow, definitely a rude shopper! It's amazing how a sale can bring that out in people!

My jaw dropped when I read this post. Some people are UNBELIEVABLE!
I expect she'll have got it home and it doesn't fit or has a huge hole in the armpit or something LOL! Glad it didn't spoil your shopping spree. :O)

Susan Fields said...

How incredibly rude! People just amaze me sometimes. I'm glad she didn't ruin your day, and you got some bargains of your own, though.

Oh, that's nasty, so rude. I hope it doesn't fit her. LOL.

But congrats for getting a skirt and top at such a great deal!

HOly crap. I would have ran after her and done a rugby tackle if it was something I really wanted. LOL

Fancy stealing the coat out of your hands Jenn - we hope the buttons drop off and roll down a drain!! Glad to hear you still got yourself something new. Mum treated herself to a dress on Friday - but she didn't bring us anything - she's a miser!!

Have a fabulous week with lots of sunshine. :)

Glad you had a successful shopping trip in spite of the evil coat-stealer! I guess bargain shopping can bring out the animal side of some people's nature!

joanne fox said...

Oh dear - how rude! People do get very competitive over a bargain don't they! At least you got some nice things, and with this sunshine maybe you wouldn't have worn the coat until next winter anyway.

Talli Roland said...

Yay for Next sales! It's been ages since I've been to one - must give it a go. I really need some new glad rags.

Happy Springing, Old Kitty and Charlie!

Hart Johnson said...

How completely rude of her! I hear that happens on black Thursday (the American shopping holiday after Thanksgiving) or in big cities, but I can't even imagine! Did you hex her? You really should have hexed her.

Summer Ross said...

I'm so glad you didn't let it spoil your day!

Robyn Campbell said...

Oh my goodness. She is a mad, mad woman. I bet you stood there in shock. You couldn't believe your eyes. Bold as...

I'm glad you still found some bargains. And didn't let that vile woman destroy your day. :)

KarenMcG said...

Well, now, I've heard all. And to think you had your hands already on it.

But a new skirt and top at half price are pretty special, too.

Hmmm, wonder what's in there for Charlie.

Rene said...

Seriously? Wow, we can't imagine doing that to someone!

Theresa Milstein said...

Sounds less like spring fever and more like spring b****.

I'm glad you snagged other bargains, though hopefully not out of someone else's arms. : )

Cute bag!

you are waaaaay too nice! I would have bared my claws and HISSED at her....BIG TIME!

Joanna St. James said...

ha ha ha I feel sorry for the poor woman now, she's got a thousand bloggy poxes and rashes and whatnot hanging over her head.
I was a seasonal staff at next so I completely get the whole psycho shopper thing. People just loose it when they see the sale sign

There will always be another bargain. At least you think people are more important than clothing.

How rude!

Glad to hear you still got some bargains. :)

Jayne said...

She swiped it out of your hand?! Blimey. Take heart in knowing it will never suit her, this swiped coat. Swiped stuff never looks good on the swiper. I read it somewhere so it must be true. ;)

Ellie Garratt said...

How rude! I would probably have reacted the same as you, though. I'd have just stood there open-mouthed. It reminds me of a hotel we stayed in years ago. There were six of us waiting for them to cook some more bacon and fried eggs, and when it arrived the couple at the front of the cue took it all. All of it! Aggh.

Glad you still got a bargain!

Pat @ Mille Fiori Favoriti said...

Oh my! That was rude wasn't it? Glad you were able to come away with a few other good bargains. I love a good sale!

Hope there was a bit of cat nip in that shopping bag for Charlie :)

Hooray for bargains! And scratches to precious Charlie~ :o) <3

That is just terrible. Good thing you didn't have your arms in the sleeves. I am with Katnip, a pox of boils to that woman. Glad you got some good bargains.
Charlie you have a good nose for good deals. Keep your Mom tuned in. Take care.

Obviously, the shopper needed the coat for a dying relative, asap. Or maybe her goldfish was being held for ransom. There's no other excuse for poaching like that. Glad you found the skirt and top, Kitty. Yay, spring clothes!!!
