Chocolate and cupcakes and craic, oh my!

Bloggie friends!!!

I will never forget my first ceilidh (Gaelic social gathering or good ol fashioned PARTY!) only because in my ignorance I kept pronouncing ceilidh as "see-leeg", rather than the correct one of "kay-lee".

Ahem.

I did the lettering all by myself!! Yes I did! :-)

Charlie says: I was most riveted by your efforts.

Enjoy the craic!

I know the word (ceilidh) when I see it, but I can NEVER remember how to pronouce it - I usually end up with sill-de for some reason :)

The first ceilidh I ever "attended" was in a book! In the Thorn Birds, by Maureen McCullough. I didn't know how to pronounce it at all.

Very nice! Lol.... Charlie, you crack me up. :) My kiddies and I will be making yummy Irish potatoes (which, of course, are not potatoes at all!).

Most of the year we delight in my fully Italian hubby's cooking... but we do enjoy some of my Irish/German/Welsh/Scottish (add random European country here) fare every now and again. :)

Yikes, I wonder what you might do for St. George's Day?
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star says, 'Charlie get up and I will send you my autograph!' :)

Oh, the chocolates look wonderful, as does that cupcake (or mini-cheesecake, perhaps). Well done!

Happy St. Pat's Day! I'll have a beer after work, but will pass on green beer. LOL.

I swear Irish words are spelt the way they are just to confuse us poor English speakers (assuming Oz actually qualifies as English)

We wet to the beginning of your blog and read about your kitty. He was the same age as Mickey and left almost on the same date. We send purrs to you and hugs.

Thank you for your purrs for Mickey.
We miss Mickey, but know he is happy at the Bridge.
It just takes some getting used to right now.

I have a niece named Kaylee so i never frget the pronunciation ! :)

Hope you had a Happy St Patrick's Day!

Your pronunciation issues made me smile... I'm infamous for mispronouncing words. I just think in words-on-page too much, so there are many words I know and use when writing, but won't hazard to say!

Happy St Patty's to you too! :)
