To give me writer-ly hope as I submit my story and to hopefully put a spring on all your steps, here’s a pic that promises new life, fresh beginnings and more daylight.
A pot of various growing bulbs and a stray pansy or two.
The bulbs were planted in layers- the idea being that they will grow in various stages from spring to autumn but they seem to be growing all at once. Ooops!
Charlie says: Yep, Spring is right behind me!

I hope your story wins the prize and I hope spring really is right around the corner; however, here in New Hampshire, we received enough snow today to warrant many school cancellations and slow driving today!

We did the same thing, and ours all came up within a couple weeks! Now it has snowed and iced and they're all confused...

This is a very pretty sign of Spring! We will not see bulbs growing until March at the earliest. Winter is holding tight this year!

I can't wait. I have daffodil bulbs sprouting on my balcony, but I'm afraid the icy weather has killed off the fuchsia I've had for ages (my fault - should have taken some inside).

yes, the sun is shing here too. this post reminds me that I have an herb garden that needs to be cut back before it sprouting begins. And I'm pretty sure there's some dog poop that needs to be cleaned outta there too. Lovely:)

Growing things! I have such poor skill that mine never would have come up at all (the squirrels got the bulbs I tried this fall) so I think all at once is just fine.

Oh look at those bulbs coming up. That is so exciting. The same thing would happen to me. They would all come up at once. I wish I had planted some bulbs like that in a pot. Oh well, will just have to watch yours come up. Take care.
