An Epic Encounter

Bloggie friends!!

Today I had my chipped tooth fixed.

Now I know as a wannabe writer of stories I ought to be able to describe as lyrically and poetically as I can a day at the dentist. So here is my writerly take on it.

******************************
My day at the dentist:

OW. Ouchie. Ow. Ow. Ow. OWWWWW!!! That HURT! Please stop. No seriously. Put. That. Needle. Away.

The end
****************************

Charlie says: While you were at the dentist, I was hiding in your clothes.

Have a twirly Tuesday everyone!

I'm with Charlie. Glad you got it fixed, but OW! and PUT THAT NEEDLE AWAY are spot on. Perhaps console yourself with a piece of courgette cake, if there's any left over.

I have a dental appt tomorrow AM, but it's just a regular cleaning. She's rough on my gums with those instruments of torture, though!

Sorry for your dental trials, Kitty. I'll be going myself soon, but not for a chipped tooth. Still, I think my hygienist may be a demon in disguise.

I've lurked around your blog before, but I see you so often on all the blogs I frequent that I feel we should be proper bloggy friends.

My oh my, your poem made quite the point. Aint that the tooth.
Penny says, 'I wouldn't hide in Gary's clothes. I mean, do I want to be seen near some old dude's ridiculous flared jeans?'

That about summarizes my dentist trips, as well. Glad your tooth is all fixed up!

This made me LOL for real! I read it to my husband over the phone and he LOL'ed, too! Bless your heart, at least it's all fixed now.

I'm having a giveaway...come see if there's anything you would like a chance at!

Charlie might be heard " OW. Ouchie. Ow. Ow. Ow. OWWWWW!!! That HURT! " so he have to be in the safe place : )

I think that story would have benefited from some valium and alcohol. Wait...maybe it did...later!

Hope the hurting has stopped. GAH!

I'm with Charlie. I'd much rather hide in your clothes closet than go to the dentist. Bad memories from my own chipped tooth at age 14

Sorry about the dentist. Yikes! Hope you're feeling better by now. *Hugs*

Ahhh, Charlie, you felt your mom's fear too.
Please tell your mom that she's more brave than our human who once punched the male dentist and shed tears on the female dentist years later!

Aargh - chips with everything.....

I've seen Charlie's behaviour before. A friend of mine used to hide in his wife's clothes when she was out shopping.

Hope your courgette-cake-hole is soon better.

Best wishes from Boonie and Mrs S

Happy New Year! And, Charlie, get out your mum's clothes. You leave hair everywhere. She knows what you've been up to. Smile big, Old Kitty!

That's horrible! Your dentist shouldn't hurt you.

Charlie is so cute.

I've been putting off a root canal. I hope I can be half as poetic.

Your take on the dentist is about as poetic as it gets!

Charlie, we hide in closets too! Such fun!

I am so phobic of the dentist! I won't tell you how many times I've hyperventilated right there in the chair! LOL. :-)

Great writing style! Seriously, to the point. Anyone who can write about a trip to the dentist and still manage to make me smile is great. Thanks.
