Charlie says: While you watch telly, I pull the string!
Yes bloggie friends!! I am vegetating in front of the telly!! There's a brilliant docu-drama called When Harvey Met Bob (BBC) - about how in 1985, Bob Geldof and promoter Harvey Goldsmith managed to pull together a concert to raise millions to help the poorest and starving in Ethiopia.
I remember the concert very well! Live Aid, 13 July 1985. Magic.
I'm still on holiday bloggie friends! LOL!

We remember that concert too!
Hello handsome Charlie!

It sounds like a wonderful production. Magic, indeed. Magic is people helping people.
I'm pretty much on blogging holiday this week, I've decided. A few more hours on my memoir, and it'll be done! Ready to send electronically to my publisher. THIS is making me relax! But now, like you, Jen and I are going to vegetate in front of the "telly" or rather in front of the computer where we'll watch an Instant Play Netflix movie.
We both send our love!!!
Enjoy - sounds like a good prgram! :)
Charlie sure looks like he is having fun on your holiday too!
I remember watching that on tv! Bob was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.....
I remember Live Aid as well.
And I think Charlie might be pulling YOUR string!
Happy Holidays Jenn & Charlie!
Telly is good for holidays! :)
I've been vegetating too! :)
that photo is so cute! What a clever way to play with Charlie while watching TV!
I remember "Live Aid" well...what I don't remember is it being that many years ago! Seems like yesterday!
Enjoy! xoxo
Sounds like a great docu-drama.

Theoretically, Charlie is killing the string! I hope the Universe doesn't implode before the end of your program...
that is sure 1 freat docu drama
oohhh hi charlie. :)
I remember Live Aid well too...hard to believe that was in 85.
Enjoy your vegetation.

I'm on holiday as well...we have a bouncy string mouse we hung on the door frame for our kitty Sasha, your picture of charlie reminds me of her tugging on it.
I imagine that docu-drama was terrific! Certainly Charlie's string is terrific -- at least my cats think so. :-)
Yes I saw that docu drama too and added the Feed the World song to my Monday blogpost afterwards. Happy vegging :O)
WEll, you may still be on holiday; I hope you are enjoying every minute, every second...but Charlie is just too cute to pass up!
I bet Angel-Kitty would like to meet him :)
Mum remembers the Live Aid concert from 1985 too - such an explosion of good will and wanting to help with the starving population especially the children. So many people wanting to be part of the
effort to make a difference.
Look at Charlie's talented toes pulling on that string.
I remember that concert too.
Don't know the concert but I'm happy you have the time off to lollygag and watch the telli. Good for the soul. Charlie must enjoy having you home.
Enjoy your day. xoo xoo
You know exactly what to do on a holiday! Yeah!! Continue reading, watching TV and, most importantly, tending to Charlie!!
That's so cute that Charlie is happy w/ his new toy!
It's so much fun to be able to watch TV & that does sound like an interesting documentary.
Glad to read that you & Charlie are enjoying your holiday! :)
Enjoy your holiday!
I like Charlie's idea of String theory better! I can't understand the other one :D Happy Holidays!
Gosh, Charlie is obsessed with that string, isn't he? It must be a very good string! :)
I'm planning to watch the docu-drama too! Happy telly-ing!
We're about to vegetate in front of Big, as soon as dinner is cooked.
Rufus is still out, though, which always worries me. We weren't in at four to shut the cat flap so he's taking advantage.
Great picture of Charlie! :)
I don't know where I was but I didn't see that. It sounds like a good one though. Keep that string going Charlie. Don't let that mom ignore you. Take care and have a great day on your holiday.
I remember that too. I bet it was just as good this time around.. HUgs GJ x
Charlie that does look like quite an amazing string to play with!
And oh I remember that concert too - Live Aid, and I remember it took place at a bunch of different places and it was on TV here. I bet that is an interesting documentary about it!
Hi friends!!!!
Happy New Year!!!
kisses
The Christmas string is sure keeping you out of mischief!
I have never heard of the concert, but it sure does sound good!!
Enjoy your vacation~

How adorable.
Where did my comment go? I remember posting it days ago.
I loved Live Aid. I was vacationing with my parents and refused to do anything but watch it all day. I'll have to look for the docu-drama here.
Live Aid. What a blast from the past. I remember Freddie Mercury, Bono and David Bowie. Thanks for the memories!
