Charlie, you've got that happy tail going, you must like soup too! That keyhole all makes sense!

Soup is good. Anything that helps make soup is better.

I feel like Kindles are status symbols.

I'd like to add, I have an immersion blender that I use for soup. It's wonderful.

I hope you get your special blender.

A soup blender huh? Mitchell agrees with Charlie, he loves spiders, except the legs. With the bigger spiders, he leaves the legs behind.

Paying for a status symbol and a name!

Cool! Would never guess about the parents!

I don't own any status symbols so I can't comment on the soup maker but I love soup.

I admit I am behind. But to be fair I blame my stupid job and the holidays and all that. So I didn't get to comment yesterday, but I did like the description - I could totally picture it in my head. I also admit it made me kind of sad but that is good writing when you can make someone feel an emotion in that small amount of words.

Ok so for today, I had to laugh at the whole Cuisinart blender being a status symbol - partly because that is so sad that it is how they are selling it, and partly because there is a particular Cuisinart appliance (not a soup blender) that I really want.

Hi Charlie! The kitties are all envious of you snack!

I wouldn't know how to use that status symbol!

Tell Charlie he can have all the snacks he wants on my carport....

I've read Brian's story--it was wonderful! And now I just read your garden story on your previous post. Vivid. Delightful. And I have the privilege of just reading it and then knowing who the "absent" folk are!
Jen says hi, and we both wish you and Charlie a wonderful Thursday. I'm heading out in the morning for two days of "respite" thanks to Jen's wonderful aide whom Jen adores!! Thanks for all your expressions of friendship to both of us!!!

I love that line, I'm off to buy it, lol.
I read your piece yesterday, but blogger went weird on me, I loved it.

Well, my cuisinart always stays hidden away in my cupboard, so as far as status symbols go, it's not a very good one probably...

Charlie, come to my place. My dad found one big spider on the ceiling while my mom and my sister did the dishes, He spray it like the whole can. and the spider spin and about to land on top of my sister head
My sister scream and ran away. I ran away. My dad keep distance but My mom yell " don't panic and stop spray " she grab the paper towel , put on top the big spider then she stamp by her foot " Dead "
And my mom found another one in the toilet, she done the same thing..My mom is a spider killer !

Hello Charlie!!! Hmmm...Mommy just chops everything by hand! :)

I am cooking soup right now as we speak and so far only one cat has tasted it to see if it is all right. Hope you got that spider, our handsome friend. Don't let it get away. Hope all of you have a super day.

Soup is good in the wintertime, of course. Does this thing just chop things up & you still have to warm it up? If so, do you really need that status symbol?! :)

Hi Charlie!

Samantha Vérant said...

Charlie, I have a twitter friend you should meet. His name is BrunotheCat, the cat of another blogger. In other news, I'm now craving soup. Nice to meet you!

Bossy Betty said...

Charlie is a status symbol, baby! He's your ticket to fame. Give him a little of the soup, will you?

Hart Johnson said...

Is THAT the kind of thing they say on those shopping channels? And here I thought my husband just had a WATCH fetish... it's STATUS he's after...

Talli Roland said...

Oh no - have I insulted your parents' garden? Eep! Tell them I'm sorry!

Hope Charlie enjoys his snack!

Golden Eagle said...

Soup is excellent, especially when it's cold outside! :)

OK, so I certainly wasn't right about the Keyhole . . . LOL.

Guinevere said...

Love Cusinart as status symbol! lol.

Hope Charlie enjoyed the spider! We have these crazy spidery-looking jumping crickets here (TERRIFIED me the first time I saw one, tried to step over it, and it jumped two feet in the air) that entertain the cats for hours.

Ellie Garratt said...

I've seen them demonstrating the Cuisinart and I want one!

Charlie - do spiders taste nice? I've got quite a few I could mail you. LOL.
