What you eat is in the stars

Astrological stars that is!

Now this is all fun and games and not to be taken too seriously but I did laugh at my one:
Cancer
Cancerians benefit from a natural flair in the kitchen so a varied diet is ideal. Be careful with sugar, pastry, white bread and beer as you've a tendency to comfort eat and try not to go too lavish when you're entertaining or feeding the family. Your tenacious attitude and patience will see you through in the end.
For the rest of the signs go here

Now I love beer. I love my chocolate and yes I do tend to follow the most lavish recipes I could find when - ahem - entertaining!

Which sort of brings me to that time when I first tried to impress my gorgeous date with home cooking. It was very early on in our dating ritual so we were still a little shy and a little reserved and so I said "I'll surprise you" and he said "Ok!" and I cooked a lovely pasta dish with lots of aubergines, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and peppers!

Oh my kitchen reeked of these veggies roasting in garlic infused extra virgil olive oil and lots of it!!!

Unfortunately it turned out that my dream date not only disliked the texture of aubergines and peppers but he was allergic to mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes.

At least he liked beer and chocolate.

And in if you really want something spooky, here's his astrological diet prognosis:
Virgo
Sensitive Virgo stomachs deserve a vegetarian diet. Too much meat, spice or fast food will only bring you down. Plenty of exercise is essential not only to lose weight but to help relieve some of that stress. And keep the exercise varied – badminton, squash, cycling or running, depending on your energy levels.
Charlie says: My stars today predict that I will be fed lots of MEAT.

Have a starry starry Tuesday everyone!

Attention:

If you have a food allergy, it's rude of you not to mention this when invited to dinner, and then later to make the host who slaved over an elaborate dinner feel bad.

No more Virgos for you, Old Kitty!

"The Aries girl jumps feet first into a new diet but is quick to give up if the results aren't instant. Think of it as a challenge and your willpower should kick in with a vengeance."

This is so not me. I've never dieted in my life. If I gain a few pounds (or *cough* more), I just shrink my regular meals and walk or bike more. Maybe cut out a snack (or two). I've never tried any sort of fad diet. Hmm...

Hmm, I just ate peanut butter and chocolate. Wonder what that means?!

Allergic to mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes??? Those are two of my favorite foods! Your pasta sounds wonderful.

You look so comfy Charlie!
I think your suprise dinner is a good serious-test. If you can't agree on food, a lot of things are bound to become difficult.
Have a great day you two.

Veggies roasting in garlic and olive oil is my kind of food! I'll drop by anytime you're cooking that pasta dish.

Jen and I both hope you're having a a great Cancer week. Jen's especially excited to know you're a Cancer. She's June 27th and proud of this fact!

I married young, really young...I spent the first year of marriage trying to impress my hubby with my domestic skills. The problem was I could only cook for a family of 7...we ate a LOT of leftovers. One of our first dates included me making him spagetti...He no longer will eat leftovers or spagetti. HMMM

Charlie, you are looking good sir...your carnivorous diet certainly agrees with you. Mommy is sticking to eating everything she can get her mouth around...and rum. Don't forget the rum.

How boring is mine!

Scorpio
Lucky Scorpios benefit from natural determination, allowing them to stick doggedly to a strict diet. But don't overdo it – fad diets and excessive exercise might just tip you over the edge.

I think we all should be careful with sugar, pastry, white bread and beer. LOL. And chocolate. Except in PMS week. All bets--and diets--are off then. ;-P

Too bad about your lovely meal--it sounds so yummy! Gee, I wish someone would cook like that for me. LOL.

BTW, my astrological diet just says to eat varied and spicy foods. Unfortunately, my gall stones and other stomach issues really, really, really can't tolerate spicy foods, and actually I never could. So I think I'll take this all with a grain of salt. Hahaha. Bad pun actually not intended.

Big smooches to Charlie--I hope he gets lots of meat today. Maybe a treat from mum!

I'm with Charlie on the MEAT - yum!
Mama loves all those things too but she is not a Cancer, we will have to go look at Tauras for her.

Hi...

'The Aries girl jumps feet first into a new diet but is quick to give up if the results aren't instant. Think of it as a challenge and your willpower should kick in with a vengeance."

I guess it's just true ;) because I have tried few products for diet etc and some physical exercise but never last long :D

We looked at mum's sign but we're sorry to say she's a scorpio (and in her words typically so foodwise) although she has a weakness - haha !! Mars Bars and she has one every day and gets snappy if we interrupt her noms!!

I'm thinking a written survey of food choices is in order. You may give your next date this at the door and save yourself a lot of time.

Charlie--I love you! I just want to come hang out with you! Alas! I am a vegetarian. Is our relationship doomed from the start?

Yum, your pasta has made my tummy grumble!

Apparently I give up on diets fast if I don't see results, according to the website. Guilty as charged. Thank God I don't diet much!

Happy Tuesday, Old Kitty!

I'm with Theresa : if you have food allergies, it's only polite to mention them BEFORE an elaborate dinner.

I was born under the sign ICU -- but I can't find it in any of the astrology books.

Thanks for coming to visit all these past times. I've been overwhelmed with work lately and haven't had time to visit back as I would like. Sorry.

I'm trying a blog 24HOURS type scenario experiment on my blog. Could you check it out and tell me if I've completely lost my mind?

Too funny about your dinner...I think that's happened to a lot of us :) The dish sounded wonderful though.

Charlie, I hope your stars are right and you get lots of meat today!

Ha! I like beer too (though only the real kind--none of that mass market crap--though you're in the UK, yes? so YOURS is okay... in the US, I stick to microbrews)

And is Charlie a Virgo? I found it funny you included it, as my hubby is a Virgo who holds the philosophy 'if it's not meat, it's not dinner'. He does avoid spicy and fast food though (I LIKE spicy, but avoid the fast)

ANGEL ABBYGRACE said...

I too am a Virgo and strictly vegetables is not my diet...although I do enjoy vegetables and fruits greatly.

Hi Charlie
Abby is purrin softly in my lap....
