Writing on the wall

Bloggie friends!

Inspired by the pic of the handwriting of the lovely Jayne of Novice Novelist, I thought I’d post mine here too and perhaps visually explain the reason why I will forever and a day worship the ground of whoever invented the typewriter and the keyboard.

Charlie says: I do not worship whoever invented the flashy thing.

Booo it's Monday! LOL!!

Ah, yes, God bless the inventor of the typewriter. As a leftie, my handwriting is abysmal! (Yours, though, doesn't seem half bad.)

Gypsy is much like Charlie ... unimpressed with my computer except that it takes my time away from her games of laser tag and feeding her!

Maybe Charlie should be excited...

Hey! How'd you get my notebook?!!!

I write much the same way. It's why letters from me are usually printed off the computer :P

LOL- Poor charlie...

I like your hand writing, reminds me of old journals.

Mondays do seem to sneak up rather quickly, don't they???

I can't imagine writing everything out by hand - I'm SO grateful for the computer as well! :)

RaShelle Workman said...

I LOVE your handwriting. LOL

Am so grateful for the keyboard though, too. I'd be lost without it.

Charlie, you adorable kitty, ya look magnifique!!!

I can write neat if I want to, but I usually don't. I love the keyboard. I even prefer to put things in my Blackberry rather than write things out.

We obviously learned cursive from the same drunken sailor, my longhand is just as bad!

I had to laugh! Yes, sorry. It reminds me of my late great friend's handwriting. Yes, hooray for the keyboard!!

Have a wonderful Monday. Jen and I both send our love.

p.s. I absolutely love the comments you send our way. If cheery yellow is anyone's color, it definitely is yours!!!

So cute :) I love to write in pen on paper (hence my blog title, lol) but I do need the computer to keep me organized and for sanity and word count and...

Are you sure you're not a doctor? That looks like MD handwriting to me.

Mr Puddy said...

Charlie, I'm the same as you.
But good thing about it, We can see each other : )

My writing is very neat. However, most of my best ideas come to me when I'm falling asleep in the dark. When that happens I scribble in the notebook by my bed. In the morning when I see my notes in the daylight, it looks like your... no offense.
That being said, I will always type.

Hahahaha, yes, my handwriting is atrocious, too. You'd think a writer would have better handwriting, but nope.

Kea said...

I print when I have "write" by hand. LOL.

Do you find there's a better creative flow when you write by hand, though? Years ago, when I had to write fiction for school, or would do it on my own (badly), I found it easier to use a pen/pencil and paper for a first draft, because I was less inclined to stop and correct as I was writing. The ideas flew more freely, if that makes sense.

I like Charlie's cube! Can't recall if I've seen it before. probably. No doubt I'm having a pre-senior moment.

Ooh your handwriting looks more legibible than mine! LOL! Yes I love to type. I learned from the age of 6 years old, but it's hubby who can touch type.:O)

My handwriting is so horrible I'm embarassed every time I have to write a letter or a thank-you or even sign a card! Hooray for keyboards!

That scribble looks familiar! Hey, that is a great picture of you Charlie!!!

The Monkeys said...

Your writing looks like our Mom's!

We have a thing or two to say to the inventor of the flashy box too, Charlie!

Hannah and Lucy said...

Perhaps you were using the wrong hand for that writing!! Mum has two sorts of writing one for herself (for example like shopping lists) which is similar to yours and one for other people who need to be able to decipher it !! She usually uses the computer and we like to help her by walking on the keyboard.
Charlie you are looking very handsome today.

SASS....Sammy Andy Shelly Sierra said...

MOL......good for you, handsome Charlie!!!!!!!

Love to you and your mum.

Angel Ginger Jasper said...

LOL If you are anything like my mum you will struggle to read your own writing sometimes. I know just what you mean about the flashy box Charlie.. Hugs GJ xx

Cool handwriting. What language is it? I can’t read shorthand….
Only joking.

Have a nice day, Boonie

Old Kitty do you want my Promise Me-book-someone else is in line to read it first-I will trade for tea and smarties.

It is yours if you want it.

notesfromnadir said...

Yeah, the keyboard is a vast improvement over a blank piece of paper. I like to write notes sometimes, but there's no way I could scan it into my computer.

Right now it looks like Charlie might need a nap! :)

LTM said...

LOL! LOVE Charlie's disapproving look. *sniff*

I agree. BIG love to the person who invented the typewriter. My handwriting can't keep up w/my brain! :D <3

Creepy Query Girl said...

lol. Very shakespearean script my dear! But I still love whoever invented the typing keyboard. My hand cramps if I try to write anything other than a check.

Pip said...

But all of us worship you, Charlie!
I has to say, mommy's handwriting used to be eggsalad, but now, acause all she does it type- it's horrid. Every time she picks up a pen, she has to remember how to use it!
We loves you both!

Hart Johnson said...

teehee--mine is sloppy, but I have to say, I can read it. I had some trouble with yours! (HWMNBMOTI has beautiful and totally illegible writing, so the things aren't as intertwined as one might think)

fairyhedgehog said...

Your handwriting looks fine to me - but then I wasn't trying to read what it was saying!

Marg said...

I think definitely that my writing is worse than yours. I can't even read my own writing. But at least I can read yours. Hope you have a good week. Charlie we all have to endure these hooomans taking those darn pictures. You are looking good Charlie.

Ellie Garratt said...

You know I was going to say nobodys handwriting could be as messy as mine, but you are doing a good job of beating me at the finish line. LOL. Yes. I to worship the holy thing called the electronic keyboard!

Jane Kennedy Sutton said...

I agree! I can’t believe I used to live without a computer and word program. I’m forever jotting down notes. Sometimes I end up throwing the note away because I can’t read what I’ve written.

Tara said...

I'm with Charlie - booo for Monday. No snow, but the kids are home anyway.

the writing pad said...

At least no one can copy your work, Old Kitty!! I'm the same - even I can't read what I've written, half the time, although I love pens and brand new pads, and always intend to mean my calligraphic ways ... one day.
All best
Karla

My husband says my handwriting look like chicken scratch. When I begin writing a novel, I always use longhand. But, regardless, I'm quite thankful for my computer!

Tracy said...

now let me ask you; has your writing ALWAYS been that way or did it happen over time?
I only say that becuase I remember 'penmenship' in school and by golly, it was a must to do your best handwriting and I can guess your school was the same and after you became an adult, it went downhill. That didn't sound very nice, did it now?
I am thankful for YOU that the kepboard was invented...how about that?

martine said...

I so agree, my writing is terrible, and it's just laziness, I can write neat when i try, long live the computer (even though I type three fingered:-)
much love
martine

LOL. My handwriting starts off neat, but by the end of the page it is utterly illegible.

Pat @ Mille Fiori Favoriti said...

I had perfect handwriting when I was young but it has deteriorated over the years..and so has my spelling..lol Thank goodness for type and spell check!

Charlie looks quite content with his eyes closed :)

Cat and DOG Chat With Caren said...

Oh my!! You DO have INTERESTING handwriting!!! MOL!!!! Yours is as bad as my husband's! lol

Charlie, if your Mom uses her camera phone you won't have the flashy thingy! :)

Theresa Milstein said...

Oh, you didn't go to Catholic school, did you? : )
Mine has gotten sloppier over time. And my sister's has become virtually unreadable. Don't even get me started on my husband's handwriting. We can only be happy to know in another generation people will barely write even in school.

Charlie looks too cute in that picture.

Boo to Monday. But we may have a snow day on Wednesday. Let's hope!

penandpaints said...

Aw, it's neat enough, as long as you know what it says. Drives me mad when I can't read my own handwriting!
xx

Charlie!!! You make me smile!!!!

I think your handwriting is very intelligent!! :)

P:S: Still, kow tow to the inventor of typewriter, keyboard AND the flashy thing! hehehe
