Out and In!

Blogfest time bloggie friends! But this is short n sweet so please don’t go away! LOL!

I am to post the last sentence of one of my stories from 2010 and the beginning sentence of one of my new stories written in 2011 (further details of the fest found here).

The following is my entry:

********************************

“Now I am hungry,” the voice said as the green haze consumed him, “And I need to feed.”

Sidney Marshall loved the flicks but he never thought he’d fall for someone the spit of Barbara Stanwyk.

*******************************
Thanks to lovely Summer Ross of My Inner Fairy and happy birthday to you!

Charlie says: While you blogfest away, I stare at this handsome fellow staring at me!

Have a wassup Wednesday everyone!

Intriguing sentences Old kitty! Your last sentence seems like so much happened and makes me curious. From your first sentence I would love to read more! keep writing!

Okay, your first sentence (i.e. the last sentence from 2010) begs further exploration! Where is the rest of the story, have I missed a post or a link? Oh, you can't possibly leave us hanging like that. Unless it's horror--I don't read horror for anyone or anything. LOL.

And what's the scoop on the new story? Would this be a young Barbara look-alike or an older one? Enquiring minds want to know!

I love both your sentences. The 2nd one is so lyrical - great opening. When will I get to read more of your writing?

LOL! Written this way it sounds like a Science Fiction story :)

I shall look for those exercise DVD's you recommended ...I need it during this snowy hibernation weather! Thanks!

Now I want to read both those stories!

It sounds like a fun blogfest; I may even be tempted to join in.

I'm laughing out loud...these are great. The first has me intrigued as to what went before and the second is a hoot! A guy at college had a lifelong crush om Barbara Stanwyck.

Happy blogfesting to you and happy handsoming to Charlie!!!

I'm so happy - we get to read some of your awesome fiction!

The first is creepy and scarey, and I love it. The second made me laugh and I want to read more; it reminds me of my father. I'm not sure why!

Tell Charlie his face will freeze if he stares at himself too much. LOL.

Who's that staring at you, Charlie? He sure is handsome!

Great lines, Old Kitty! What a fun blogfest - I love first lines and last lines both.

I guess I'm writing on yesterdays post. I love your dentist lingo. Smart talk!!!! Don't you like it when they ask you a question and your mouth is propped wide open and stuffed with cotton?

The pictures of Charlie are sweet where he's looking out the window and hiding in your closet. He's my cat since i only have Cody dog now. Thanks for sharing him.

Hi,

1) to say I'm confused is neither here nor there, but the sentence intrigued!

2) hee hee, Barbara Stanwyck of the ye olde black & white movie era: nice touch to this sentence, and I bet it makes for a good read. ;)

Oh Charlie that handsome fellow looking at you is YOU!!
You make all the lady cats hearts go pitter patter and they swoon or faint in a heap at your paws.

Knowing nothing of your projects, both sentences gave me a good feeling about both your story and your characters. Great post.

Good for Charlie, he's got his priorities right. Your last sentence makes me think of Walter Mitty for some reason or that film about Harvey the rabbit LOL! :O)

Well, all I can say is that I hope the green haze isn't going to eat Barbara Stanwyk.

Your ending has that zombie possession kind-of-haze ;) I wonder if your characters saw it coming.
It took just a few well chosen words to set this hook. A great blogfest post.

They both sound very intriguing! I read them as sentences from the same stort at first and found them even more intriguing!

I love your first sentence--it definitely creeps me out!

The second makes me wonder what's behind his falling for her . . . great blogfest entry!

I loved the 'last sentence' particularly - it seems like a downbeat horror story where the monster wins - like the original ending to Little Shop of Horrors.
