Honest Pancakes and a Meow

The lovely Ann and fellow shoe-fetishist of Inkpots n' Quills nominated me for a really amazing award.

Now all I have to do is list ten honest things about me and nominate everyone else - cos everyone else in my blogworld all deserve chocolate medals and cotton candy juice and whiskey on the side. Oh yes they do.

But first....

Today is PANCAKE DAY!! And I hope you are all making your own - it's so easy to do and here's the wonderful BBC recipe site to help you along...

My favourite filling? Chocolate spread and sliced banana.

Now before I list my 10 honest things.. may I just highlight the lovely Amy who is running a Save Meow Project ? Her aim is to donate "a cent for every comment" left on her blog for animal charities. She has set a target of $2000 by April. I just thought it was such a sweet thing for her to do.

So here are my 10 honest things about me:

1) I have never finished reading James Joyce's Ulysess - stopped at page 3.
2) I watch Frasier - all 11 seasons back to back - infinitum.
3) I enjoy going to Star Trek conventions
4) I have a Lt Uhura outfit.
5) I passed out in one of the toilet cubicles in the Royal Albert Hall.
6) I read the daily horoscopes (I'm Cancer!)
7) I've fallen in love, madly, deeply, wholeheartedly.
8) I have a butterfly tattoo on my left shoulder
9) I passed out while it was being done.
10) I've never finished a Guardian quick crossword by myself.

And I nominate...

fairyhedgehog - for the Hamster!
musings on a small life
stacy's cafe
substitute teacher's saga - Yes, I know you have it already, but I like nominating you!
spinster of the parish - So happy that you're still around!!!
welshcake
lexi
cat in the buff
block or not
Mille
a patch of dirt
Jane
Alex
Kate
Jenny Woolf
SuzyQ
Noir
KarenG - Oh I know you have this already but you're so fab I want to double nominate you!
Amanda
Melinda
House of cats

Happy Pancake Day!

Oh we thought we missed pancake day - but I checked the internet - pancake day here in the US is next Tuesday (that was a close one - when I told the boyfriend it was today he was ready to run out and get some - and we just finished dinner!)

Congrats on the award. And thanks for passing it on to us! And can I tell you how happy I am that there are other crazy Star Trek fans out here (I take the day off work and see the movies the day they come out). And I don't read my horoscope every day but I do check it fairly often (I am a Scorpio by the way). And Fraiser is a great show - there are a few that have caused us both to almost fall off the couch they were so funny!

Old Kitty, after your Star Trek confession, you'll forgive me for my newest post. I have tattoos on each of my shoulders - roses on one and a fleur de lys on the other, though I almost got a butterfly.

Thanks for another award!

Oh thank you !! That is so nice of you! And I almost didn't read your post today because I'm so full from dinner that pancakes didn't sound interesting lol!

Pancake Day? I never heard of that. How great! I love pancakes. Too bad I worked all day and am way to tired to cook. I will celebrate Pancake Day on Wednesday. I will make them with Banana and walnuts. Yummmmm.

Oh, and thanks for the award. I love you and your blog. I think I am ready to take the bull by the horns and answer those tough quesions.

Point 5.

I think you're being rather disingenuous here! People will think you have a medical condition rather than... well, perhaps you should enlighten them.

I'm sure #5 comes with a great story. Heh.

Thanks for including me in your nominations. Arrgh, now I'll have to post 10 honest things about myself. LOL.

I hope you enjoyed pancakes this morning. :-)

Old Kitty-wow--you made Tommy laugh at your comment on James Joyce. She and a chum still talk how they are NOT fans of his-due to a short story they had to read for their fiction workshop!

But Star Trek! LOVE you have a uniform--and Tommy watched all 11 seasons of Fraiser too! Tattoo? You're brave--Tommy isn't! Enjoyed you 10 items.

When I read how your college just saw my photo and thought my eyes were solemn--I remembered you live a little in the future from me! Cool! Oh, I'm a Gemini while Tommy is an Aries--she's reads her horoscope too.

Thanks for the award--I'd done it a few months ago, yet I have another 10 so I'll give it another go!

PANCAKES!!

Nice facts, Kitty! I'd love to hear about a Star Trek convention. Have you ever read Deep Secret by Diana Wynne Jones? That has a sci fi convention in it!

I'm not doing awards at the moment but many thanks for thinking of me.

Thanks, Kitty!

I'm a Cancer too! So we have the shoe thing and the horoscope thing in common. What else?

Normally I make my own pancakes but today I cheated and bought some. My husband looked very disappointed in me... it's the only day of the year I do the cooking.

Hi Amy and The House of Cats

Hoooray - that means I can celebrate pancake day twice! Thank you!

I think it's time us Trekkers stand up proud and be counted. Especially while I'm in my Lt. Uhura outfit.

:-)

Take care
