What's happened to my dashboard?!?!?!

Bloggie friends please help me!!

I lost my internet connections last night (I had 3 blinky lights and not 4)hence my supreme lateness!! I've not been able to catch up with some of your blogs because of this - sorry!

But now that it's returned and I've logged back to Blogger, Blogger's all changed!!

My Dashboard is all expanded and I can't find the scroll button to scroll up like before.... I am in despair bloggie friends. I really think with these blogger changes, I'm going to have to er... retire. My pc and I can't cope with the changes.

All I want is my scrolly button panel on the side of my dashboard so I can scroll up the dashboard screen.

And please don't say "Use Google Reader" because Google Reader is PANTS. :-(

I'm not happy. :-(

Charlie says: I'm not happy too cos I can't smell my breakfast. Yet.

Today's Friday is not a happy day for me! :-(

Don't panic! That's the main thing. When this sort of thing has happened to me (and it's VERY worrying) I've always been able to get it sorted out. Usually my daughter does it with a couple of clicks.

I can't help more than that, but I'm sure someone else will. If all else fails, let me know and I will get the offspring to advise by phone, instant message or email.

I'm sorry you're having all these problems and I hope one of your other friends can sort it out for you.

I don't really understand what's gone wrong. Blogger is acting normally for me - or as normally as it ever does.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Have a fabulous Friday…..

All the best, Boonie

Aww... Google was totally 'off' last night... Nothing was working...!!! ANNOYING!!!!!!

I'm not happy either! What's with this? It sucks. I want to scroll down and see the updates from earlier too!

Jessica Bell said...

oh yeah, let's hope it's a work in progress. Perhaps the scroll thing will come back soon. You know how like the new editor didn't have a video upload button and then one day it did? Surely the teckies will realise the way it is just won't work?

Maybe it's just something that will sort itself out? Keep calm and carry on, isn't that what you Brits always say? Chin up! Now give Charlie his breakfast!

I definitely agree with you! I'm having a difficult time without the scroll button!

Give your human a poke, get that breakfast going!!

New blogger is weird and kinda silly.

I hope it's fixed now? It looks fine now and mine seems to be working OK.

Well I just got on this morning so I must explore blogger and see what's funny about it today. I love my dashboard, it's what I use to follow blogs. I've never tried Google reader and don't want to start as long as dashboard works for me. oh dear now I'm worried!

Ooooppps Lucky checked!

Indeed it had expanded overnight!!!
But pls don't retire...
Those IT savvy-guys at BLOGGER will fix it!!

Hope it comes back for you soon! I converted to Google Reader a few weeks ago after thoroughly despising it. I made two folders; one for blogs I want to read daily, and another for blogs I'll read if I'm feeling bored or something.

The only downside is that I comment a lot less, because I have to click over to the blog to do it. But oh well!

It's no good asking me for advice -
one of my neighbours had to come in and put my email screen back together in the way I like to use it last week. (it was fine one day and the next I couldn't find anything!!)
Have you tried switching everything off and putting it on again?

We hope you get this sorted out! We're sure it's something simple, but of course can't help without seeing it. If you can log in from work, see if someone can assist!

Good luck!

Have you tried refreshing the page? Or maybe shutting down your browser and restarting it?

I din't think it's just you - I think it's Blogger. Mine has dones the same; my scrollbar has vanished.

One just has to hope they fix it soon ...

Poor Charlie.

The scroll thing is gone for me, too. I'm not happy. Grrr.

I couldn't make a post for Wed.,or comment on Wed or Thurs on other people's blogs, so i guess this is a step up at least. *sigh*

Charlie, EJ didn't check blogs recently and got a surprise too when everything changed with the scroll bar is missing.
EJ thanks your mom for the hugs, support, prayers and words of encouragement.

I'm having the same problem with my dashboard and I just got my happy computer back!
I'm not a fan of google reader either.

Hugs I hope your day gets better.

Sorry, I am no help either. I don't use Blogger so I don't have a clue. Glad you got your internet back at least.
Charlie, that is very norty of your Mom to make breakfast late. You might be starving.
Take care and have a grand week end.

Sorry, I can't help either, I told Charlie I would help him look for his breakfast. I don't actually use blogger much so I didn't know it had a scrolly thing!

Bossy Betty said...

Betty does not approve of these changes! I am a Google Reader person myself.

Have you asked Charlie for help?

Guinevere said...

Aw, I hope your Friday gets better! Blogger is silly sometimes, but no retirement for you! (It looks the same for me today, so I have no advice).

Charlie is a nice sedate cat to wait so calmly for his breakfast. Mine circle me in the morning until they're fed... I call them the "kitty sharks".

Alas, we are having the same problems here today....our mama seldom hates anything but she does HATE the new dashboard thingy.....she has found if she clicked on something about "Google Reader" (near the bottom of Bloggers new dashboard) that she finally got a list of posts that she could scroll down...and go visit our friend's blogs from....but it isn't nearly as user friendly as the old method was!!!!!!

Most of the new updates, our mama has liked, but this one is a real loser!!!!!!!!!

We love you two.

Oh NOOOO! Old Kitty! Hope your day has improved. My Blogger hasn't changed but I've seen a few people Twittering about it. I hope you get it sorted out! Blogger's been giving me loads of problems lately.

Sometimes mom sez dat Blogger need a good spanking...and daddy just swears at da puter but dat don't seem to help either.

Hart Johnson said...

Google Reader IS Pants! (and I LOVE that you said that--pants as a swear word is one of my favorite things)

My son does something to our computer that makes that happen and it is undoable, but I don't remember the trick--I think it is a firefox thing, rather than a blogger thing. Finding a teen or preteen is how I would approach it--can you find one?

I hope someone else is more helpful!

I dont think its you either I think bloger was throwing a wobbler. I am just back on but was at work so it seems ok now.. Hope your is.. Hugs GJ xx

Someone complained on Facebook earlier. I checked, but mine was the same. After reading your post, I checked and mine is all crazy too.

I don't know what PANTS is, but if you mean "no fun" or "ugly to look at" or "lame", I agree.

I hope you're Friday has gotten happier since you posted.

Happy weekend! : )

Katnip Lounge said...

Don't leave...PLEASE! Where else am I gonna learn cool new swear words like "pants"!?!

Blogger was a complete POS for me last night. I sure hope your dashboard reappeared. And that Charlie got supper!

blogger's being its usual self: all fup duck! GRRRRRRRRRR

hope it gets back to how you like it...

Blogger's just trying to improve their site and sometimes that takes time and frustration but they have to do it this way so that the site doesn't go down in between ungrades. That's my take on it anyway...

My dashboard reader was weird like that last night as well, but it has returned to normal this evening; hope yours has too...I'm not very "technical" and in general, change is tough, I know what you mean!...Hope everything improves and you enjoy a happy weekend with handsome Charlie!...xoxo...J, Calle, Halle, Sukki

The new Blogger editor has also driven me a little batty lately, but they have changed many times in the three years I've been blogging and I've found that I eventually adjust to all of their changes sooner or later. Hopefully their changes will help us blog faster and easier someday!

Kat_RN said...

I am so sorry! I know what you mean about needing four blinking lights. Mine went out last week for a while. I also hate it when "they" change things without asking.
I see you have posted today, hopefully that means that all is fixed.
Cheers,
Kat
