Sitting on wet grass

Bloggie friends!!

There I was trying to persuade Charlie that actually sitting down on a nice warm bed/dry carpet/ polished floor/shiny sink/bathtub is far better than sitting outside in the rain when three of my neighbours - whom I’ve never met because this is a fairly large estate - came by and all said, “Hello there Charlie”! Or words to that effect.

Of course they all petted and fussed over him and asked me if I was Charlie’s “owner”.

And of course I said, yes! And of course they all told me each of their little adventures with Charlie – how he sits by their fence, how he’s so friendly and how he likes being stroked.

It’s amazing how a cat can save me from being so introverted – now even if they don’t know my name and I don’t know theirs, I have three more new neighbours I can say hello to!

Don’t ask me how they know his name though! Well I sort of guessed my next door neighbour told them.

Charlie says: These plants are deaded.

Have a thumbs up Tuesday, everyone!!! I'm back editing chapter 1...!

Isn't Charlie the right little socialite!!!

It is always nice to meet and chat with new neighbours.

Love the new colour scheme. Very soothing.

Hey, new temply!!!!

I likey!

I have a dog walker who walks by my place and he always always waves at me whenever he sees me with Sher :).

That day he caught me at the station, and he smiled at me like he knows me since ages :)

It's like a mommy-club! Haha

My Basil goes down to the neighbours and sits on their windowsill staring at them through the window. Their cat spits and hisses at him hehehe

Charlie is a truly extroverted cat-- you don't see his kind everyday! How nice that he introduced you to your neighbors and brought you some friends. Our cats only ever brought us dead mice and bats.

Charlie is so sociable! And may or may not be able to tell people his name. Now you know Charlie really is wonderful and you're not just biased.

Those plants are looking like they're ready for colder weather. But Charlie is beautiful, as usual.

Happy Tuesday to you. Good luck back with chapter one.

Charlie is no doubt begging suppers at other houses, as well!

They asked if you’re Charlie’s owner? Nobody owns Charlie. He’s a free spirit. But I expect that he feigns being owned when it suits him.

“Neighbours love Charlie
Come to see you and parley
That made you smiley”.

All the best, Boonie

Charlie is such a sweetie! I also have a Charlie, also black and white but shorthair. Great blog btw.

Charlie, you look good sitting in the garden.

Charlie is a good social director! :-)

Four-legged Beings do tend to draw us together, or at least get us to open up. I'm forever stopping to greet all the dogs being walked in our neighbourhood, probably would pass the humans by without a glance otherwise.

So good for Charlie!

Back to editing chapter 1? Good luck!

I suspect they may be blog-readers of yours!

And who knows, maybe Charlie tells his friends in cat language that HE is YOUR owner- as cats prefer to express it this way for some reason :)

Charlie, you're a social butterfly!

Boy Charlie, you sure get around!!!

Charlie must be the neighbourhood
meeter and greeter - a very social sort of fellow who spends all his time chatting to passers by.
Good luck with the book editing.

PS I thought you might be amused by this post about living with elderly cats.

Charlie is so sweet and friendly, which he must get from copying you! Good luck with the edit!

I found out the other day that my Ginger cat is also quite friendly with the neighbours - but I suspect this is because he hopes food will be involved somewhere. My litle Abi girl isn't so sociable - she likes her home comforts too much. And I agree with Charlie's assessment of those plants - they do sadly look deaded!

Well that is very nice that Charlie goes and get attention from all the neighbors. Too funny. But I am glad you got it established that he is yours. We don't want anyone stealing him.
You are right, Charlie, those plants are deaded. Take care and have a great day.

Oh, good for Charlie for making friends (and for introducing you to the neighbors!) Can't really argue though, with having more people to give a scratch... Charlie is pretty smart.

Aw! Yay for Charlie, bringing you together with your neighbours!

I brought a little moose friend home for him, but he escaped and s now wandering the streets of London... :)

Yay for Charlie. There is nothing like a kitty to make friends.. Hugs GJ xx

Way to socialize, Charlie! And yes, sadly, many plants are deaded this time of year.

Good that you're editing!

And great that Charlie is so loved & is making so many new friends! :)

Archie is in trouble with our neighbours - I heard an almightly shout coming from two doors up today and then he appeared fast - wonder what he was doing - digging in the flower bed probably - so he hasn't really achieved the social success Charlie has! xx

Kitties are wonderful! We can't have any, so I'll be happy to admire yours anytime you like.

Charlie's introducing you to the neighbours, what a polite cat! And yes, those plants are deaded.

Ooopps Charlie a politician in making???? :)
Pass a law for free cat treats on weekends!

At least wet grass is better than Sunshine's take on the litter pan!!

P:S: It is lovely when it takes a special furry one (i.e Sir Charlie) to connect us humans!!!

Love to Jenn & Charlie!!
