The Ecstasy and the Agony

Bloggie friends!!

Sometimes I’m so happy I just know something will go wrong! LOL!

I’m so over the moon with the amazing feedback I got from you wonderful bloggie friends who volunteered to read my first 500 words. For the first time I truly feel so optimistic about this crazy novel I’m writing (Thank you thank you thank you!).

Then yesterday Charlie gave me a fright! He was eating when he yelped in pain, spat his food out and for ten seconds he had this crazed shocked look.

So off to the vets he goes today. I'm guessing there's something wrong with his teeth. I hope that is all it is!

Talk about self-fulfilling prophecy!! Oh I know I’m being crazy finding links between coincidences!

But I’ve gone from ecstasy to agony in like 24 hours.

Oh but I’m sure Charlie will be fine!! Of course he will! He’s Charlie and he ROCKS!

Charlie says: Do not wake me unless it's for gold bling fillings. Thank you.

Have a peaceful Tuesday everyone!

And of course you should be optimistic about your novel - the first 500 words were fantastic and I'm so glad I got to read them!

Oh no, poor kitty! I hope his mouth is okay and that he feels better :(

Yay for feeling over the moon otherwise, though!

Yikes, poor Charlie! Fingers and paws crossed it will be something simple and easy to treat. Please do give us an update!

As for the first 500 words, as I wrote, very intriguing! Glad you are getting terrific feedback on it. :-)

It's always best to be cautious, and you are taking him to the vet... But I am keeping my fingers crossed that Charlie will be well and he has nothing serious.

Sherkhan also has his purr machine on. Hugs to you.

Now, Charlie, how about the latest diamond bling filling?

Hooray for your writing! And poor Charlie I hope he's OK.

I'm sure Charlie will be OK.

We had a similar experience with one of our cats once, a small piece of chicken bone was caught in her gum. The vet had it out in a jiffy.

I'm sorry that Charlie's teeth are hurting but I'm happy that you got a great critique. Let us know how it goes.

Is Charlie looking for meow on part in a James Bond film with a sparkly gold filling to flash?
Seriously he may need to have a tooth pulled but if you mash his noms it won't stop him from eating.

Gosh we sure hope Charlie is OK. We are sending tons of purrs, some woofies a couple of hee haws and a Baa. Also some positive vibes that he will be just fine. Hugs to Mom and some prayers too.
Feel better Charlie.

A passion for your book is feed for the soul. I've felt that way about Flamenco, my whole life. It's sustained me through everything. I'm happy for you!!! Dear Charlie most likely has a bad tooth. Cody and I send him lots of fish when he's done with the vet.!!!

Good luck with Charlie at the vet's! x

Oh that stinks that Charlie has a mouth issue - hopefully it is just a tooth thing and will be easy to take care of. We are sending him lots of good luck purrs for his visit to the vet!

And that is great that you got good feedback - I would have volunteered too but well, I get so far behind on everything as it is I am sure I would have been behind with that too!

Oh, dear, poor sweet Charlie. We are purraying that it will be an easy fix. We love both of ya bunches.

Isn't that how life seems to go though.....from a total high to a downer, which usually feels like a total low.

I hope Charlie is fine - I think he's bound to be if he isn't showing any more symptoms. I never thought about cats getting toothache before, poor fellow.

NB Not sure I'd like to be a cat dentist, it's bad enough getting them to take pills.

Poor Charlie. I hope whatever it is is easily remedied.

You've got some super friends, offering to critique your writing. Isn't it lovely how selfless writers and non-writers can be?

p.s. tell Charlie only a little bling - don't want him to look too much like a rock star or it might go to his head!

Ann Best said...

Jen says tell Charlie she's glad he likes her pumpkin!

In my view, you, Charlie, and Jen are all stars!!

And fingers crossed for Charlie!

I do hope everything is ok with Charlie - they do scare us don't they? Archie came in a couple of weeks ago foaming at the mouth and I rushed him straight round to the vet as I thought he'd eaten something poisonous- all is fine but we worry so much! One of our cats ages ago had bad teeth for a while and we were given chicken-flavour toothpaste and a special brush that fitted on our finger to try and clean them - not very easy - I seem to remember him trying to just chew our fingers! Do let us know how you get on xx

How scary that must've been. I hope Charlie is okay, poor boy.

That's a beautiful picture of him. Either you're becoming a better photographer or he's becoming a better model. Or both!

Oh dear!

Sweet Charlie we shall be very worried until we hear from Jenn just how you are.

purrin for Charlie!!!!
