Weekend wonders

Charlie says: I am most impressed with your manuscript. Honest I am.

Ever so creative Bloggie Friends!! Remember the 100 Stories for Haiti anthology?

It raised £4000 for the Red Cross so now the guy behind this endeavour - Greg McQueen - is gonna be doing the same again to raise funds for the flood relief for Pakistan.

This time he is putting together an anthology of 50 stories.

If you have a 500 word max story inside of you that you would like to donate, please go here for details. I will certainly try to write and send too.

There is no guarantee that mine will be accepted again this time round cos I've not had much luck with my stories lately.

But I try, bloggie friends, I try!

Thanks to womagwriter and Patsy Collins for the info.

Have a winsome weekend everyone!

If I really had time to do this I would, but honestly between school and kids and health- it just doesn't happen. I'm barely above water for blogfests. I don't have a clue how I'm going to pull off NaNo!

Love the cat photo!!!

500 words isn't much wiggle room.

Great job Charlie in helping to check mom's story!
Thanks, I am very careful in keeping healthy as there will be no one to look after the kitties when I am sick or not around.

Great idea for fundraising, have a lovely weekend.

I would like to participate... but I have to find where I kept those stories...

My story-writing is completely forgotten these days, I am overwhelmed with real life.

Congrats to all involved for successful fundraising for Haiti. 4000 pounds is terrific! I hope the new anthology raises as much or even more.

Best of luck with your submission and big smooches to Charlie, as always.

P.S. Re. Trish's comment about sensible shoes: One of these days I'm going to take a snapshot of all my exceedingly sensible shoes and post it on my Musings blog. LOL.

Gosh I haven't written a story in
a long time (since school) so don't think I will be doing one even though the funds are needed.
Are your sensible shoes sensible or is it a joke box??
Have a good weekend and give Charlie a kiss or two from us.

This sounds like a lovely idea.

I just tried counting them and I'm not sure I know 500 words, do they all have to be different? Go Charlie Go!

4k for Haiti - woo hoo!

Since you're in the last one, I'm sure you can write something worthy. You've been putting all your writing energy into your manuscript, so I bet you'll get your creativity to cooperate.

I'll look into entering. Thanks for the info.

That is really a good idea. I don't think I have a 500 word story that would be any good in me. But we know you can do it Jenn especially with Charlie's help. Hope you are feeling better. Have a great Saturday.

Way cool! I'll look into it and pass the word to my literate friends... LOL! Good luck on your submission... you just never know. Besides, good stories sometimes are overlooked by bad editors!

Sounds like a great fundraiser, Kitty. You are awesome. Splurge on some non-sensible shoes and see what Charlie says to that.

Great idea - I know you will write a good one for it.

I was honoured to also be part of 100 Stories for Haiti, so urge any writers out there to consider submitting a story. It is certainly a worthwhile cause!

p.s. Charlie has good taste in his fiction.

How wonderful to known that this blogging effort had such good results! It's good to know that a second anthology will be published to help the flood victims in Pakistan.
