How it should be done

Never work with children or animals.

This could also be tweaked as “ never have children or animals in your so called novel if you can’t handle them”!

At the moment I have 2 ten year olds and a dog running around amok and causing untold damage to my manuscript! None of them are listening to me. Aaaaaargh!

Oh but look at this bloggie friends – even if you don’t like the music just enjoy these beautiful dogs (all from rescue centres and now with loving and forever homes) showing me how working with them should be done:

Charlie says: Bet they can’t do this!

Have a terrific Thursday everyone!

Thank you for all your tales of mistaken payment identity yesterday! I'm glad I'm not alone! :-)

Charlie's more talented!
Don't worry - no kids or animals in my books. Promise!

Where on earth do you find all these videos? LOL!

I'm glad all the dogs have wonderful forever homes now!

Good luck with your manuscript--I should think the 2 ten-year olds would be much more difficult to handle than the dog. :-P

It's funny that we worry about identity theft yet we put our entire lives out on the internet. Well, I do anyway. I'm sure anyone could steal my entire life if they wanted it.

Well, Charlie, I don't think they can do that! You are an original!!

But I have to say that Jen and I enjoyed the video. It was absolutely delightful. And we're so glad these beautiful dogs have found loving homes.

If they won't have .... just write them out! :) Thanks as always for your sweet supportive words! You are always unfailingly kind and I LOVE getting comments from you!

Never work with children. I wish someone told me before I subbed gym today. I didn't handle animals, but one kid chewed on his shirt the whole class. Does that count?

2 ten-year-olds and a dog running amok? I can't wait to read this manuscript? Care to send me a chapter? Or two?

Cute! I take animals over children, anyday, hands down. ;)

ROFL! Oh, Jen, you're so dang cute! I'd love to pay the Chemist with a library card, too! Oh...

I love the pic of Charlie here. He's so cute! I know how you feel about MCs running amok in WIP. Oh, how I empathize with you!

Thanks for seeing me today, I've missed you tons! <3

You're right Charlie, though those dogs are terrific, they can't do your special contortionist stretch!

My cat will ignore me all day until she sees me with homework on my lap. All of a sudden, there is no place else for her except on top of my papers. Sigh. To bad I love my pets.

That was awesome!!

And Charlie, you're getting some real mileage out of that drainage cover, aren't you, hon?!

Oh my, someone worked really hard on choreographing this! Unbelievable! And so cool.

Handling children in stories is never easy! I've got two in one of mine and it's being a bit of a problem.

Charlie always looks so happy!

Aww... Don't worry so much Jenn. Sher and I are supporting you all the way.
I trust that in no time those ten year olds will be totally under your control...
Good luck!

I think maybe hide it from prying fingers. He He .

Love the picture Charlie and its one of my favourite ways to lie.

The card theft made me remember my experience. I was mugged three years ago for my bag. Got my cards and much more, photo's diary etc which was worse. A year down the line they started taking money from my account and took a lot. Bank did give it back, but they made me so cautious, I made the bank cange my whole account with new numbers. There are some despicable people out there for sure.. But I still do shop online with cards, we cant let them win.. Hugs GJ xx

WOW....Working with 6 dogs at once!!! Watch that, Cody. I think Cody would rather roll over with Charlie.
Fun Post.

That is such a great video. Love seeing doggies doing stuff like that. It looks like so much fun.
Charlie, you are so right, they sure can't do that.
Have a great day.

That's a great video - it must have taken a large amount of time, patience and very laid back dogs to
get it filmed.
Didn't someone say never work the children and animals??!!
Charlie you are such a poser - we love you.

That Charlie really knows how to relax! I intend to follow his lead as soon as I get home from work today. I doubt that I shall look as pretty in that post, however.

I love the little dog that is turning the other direction when the chair turns so he ends up staying the same way!

I had a dog in my first book I had to drop because I kept being inconsistent about his presence, but the one in my cozy has been sort of fun (he's a Jack Russell, so he periodically does that bouncy thing)

When I have kids, they are MCs, and I really LIKE writing kids (much more fun than raising them)

JE said...

oh man, I wish my dogs could do that! I've got dogs with no brains! LoL.

Charlie looks like he's got a head-start! Go Charlie, go!

Great video, Jennifer! I wish I could stretch like Charlie though...

I thought of you today...I reached in my purse and pulled out a hotel room key instead of my credit card when I went to pay for something. :)
