What a unique premise. An imaginary friend with a terrifying agenda is intriguing. I want to read it too.

Charlie is upset because your manuscript isn't displayed. Don't blame him since I want to read it too.

Don't worry Charlie !
I have my secretary with me here ( my mom ) , she already takes a note so it's her job to remind me tomorrow.

Woohoo! That's some dilemma your character is in! I like it.

And Charlie is wonderful as always.

That is a fabulous tagline!

Charlie, we don't know what's bothering you, but we hope it's nothing serious!

I think it's great.

I have to know what is tormenting poor Charlie.

Susan Fields said...

Ooh - a vengeful spirit - sounds good!

It does sound intriguing! But I thought publishers wrote those for authors. Of course, I know nothing about it, was just making an assumption.

We're all on tenterhooks to see what it is that has Charlie so perturbed!

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

A little tweaking and it'll be an amazing grabber.
Poor Charlie. Maybe he'll be happier posing alongside a certain book when it arrives...?

Sharon K. Mayhew said...

Really good Jennifer...my only suggestion would be to change "he is" to he's. It makes it sound more like an 11 year old's voice...

???I thought you wrote for grown ups???

Loved your log line - it draws you in to find out what happens.
Charlie what is upsetting you?
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Intriguing! Looking forward to hearing more.

Poor Charlie.....is he haunted by the imaginary friend!

Ooooh! I like it!

Oooh! I love the idea of a vengeful spirit masquerading as an imaginary friend! Definitely want more... though I might up the tension prior to needing the rescue... how long have the bullies been tormenting. I'd love to draw out the dichotomy of this spirit... REALLY NEEDED first, THEN blast the agenda...

Oooooo. You've got me hooked!

Hugs to Charlie!

Hi Charlie,
Penny, the Jack Russell dog, here. 'Arf, arf' (wags tail).
I am going to have Gary let me sit on his lap so I can 'read' what so perturbed you.
Bye for now.
Love from Penny :-)

Is it a remote controlled mouse upsetting Charlie?

Nice lines Jen, as always. Charlie's a very good mascot, all the people he lives with get published!

Very interesting premise, Kitty. I want to know more! Charlie is adorable even when bothered.

Your logline makes me want to read your book!

Charlie looks disdainful. Hope to hear why soon!

Cheer up, Charlie! :)

Wow! That sounds sound interesting - I love the twist that the person he thought would help him might not!

Happy Wednesday, Old Kitty and Charlie.

Very suspenseful tagline, Jenn. I like it!

Is Charlie perturbed because he is not yet allowed outside?

That is a good tagline, logline, what ever, beginning. Sounds pretty interesting.I like those kind of books.
So Charlie what are you looking at.Can't wait to find out tomorrow. Take care and have a good evening or day, what ever it is.

kenny sez: hiya charlie :)

Charlie's admiring that nice logline! Good work!

Thanks for dropping by my blog for Stephen Tremp's guest spot. I hope to see more of you.

I think your logline is excellent, and the chocolate eye photos are priceless. I've been reading as many YA and middle grade novels lately as I'm reading adult novels. The writing for YA books is so good these days.

Jackee said...

Intriguing!!! I really love the vengeful spirit twist. :o) Can't wait to hear more.

Jans Funny Farm said...

Oh, we taught Jan something new today. We confused her with the use of "logline." She didn't know what it was. Well, we didn't either but we googled it before we sprang it on her. hehe.

Yours is pretty neat.
