A Switch in Time

Bloggie friends I am silly AGAIN! Yes I am!

Half way through my re-write I realise something.

A character called Philip is suddenly Peter.

I must have had a serious breakdown somewhere! LOL!!

Nevermind, all Peters are now switched to Philips. Cos I got my certificate that proves I am proficient in the use of Word 2007! :-)

Charlie says: Kindly make amends and show evidence of me with the scratching post. And my nip cushion. Thank you.

Have a thrilling Tuesday everyone!

I guess if it is ok with Philip then Charlie and I won't complain!

Hm, it makes me wonder what made you change names - do you have a mysterious Peter in your past that suddenly has been in your thoughts?

Hi Charlie - you look great with the scratching post and nip pillow!

Oopsie!!

Charlie, it's great to see you, dear!

At least they both began with P. I started out with a James and ended up with a William!

Charlie is as cute as ever.

Good for you on your re-write!

Oh, those word documents are tricky! Can't be anything wrong with us!!

I've done that one before, too.

Jen says hi to you and Charlie. And we both wish you a sane Tuesday.

Well, they both begin with P...

Philip, Peter. It's practically the same name. Maybe it's biblical. Didn't Saul become Paul?

In The Mist Chasers I have an Adam and an Alex, and sometimes I find I've interchanged them.

It just shows how much we're trying to concentrate on at once!

Congratulations on being proficient. All these accomplishments these days!

At least they both started with P!!...Sometimes, you gotta love computers, where unlike life, mistakes are easily corrected!...Glad to see Charlie is using his scratching post!...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

I've done that before, Jennifer. Make sure you also change all the Peter's to Phillip's too. I've changed a character's name more than once in a story and had to do a search and replace, but forgotten to check for all variations of the name.... You live and learn. :) Have a lovely week.

Holy Cats! Self editing must be Hell. I think you need a time out with Charlie's nip cushion to clear your mind.

Your moniker swap looks like a bit of a ‘P’s take to me….

Have a nice day, Boonie

That's so easy to do. It's a good job you've got Charlie to help out.

A very fine post there my friend!

Sorry you can't have Peter, he's in my book. You'll have to make do with Philip :-)

My brother, when he was born- he had a different name, then- when he was about 3 yrs old- mom decided that no, he is not that name, he is some other.... Let me assure you Jenn- it happens... Maybe more in some slightly err... dysfunctional families... But still! Haha!

Haha! That's so funny:) How could you switch Philip to Peter and not notice for ages?

Glad to see Charlie using his scratching post instead of your sofa:)

Does Charlie use his scratcher?

I've always secured a piece of carpet (or a mat) to mine. I've yet to find a cat who'll use one otherwise. Carpet with a looped pile is best, so the cat's claws have something to grip on to. I use plastic ties to secure it, one at the top and one at the bottom, then I flip the carpet over or replace it as it wears out.

LOL! I've read books where the editors didn't catch those kinds of slip-ups. Are you sure Phillip should remain Peter? What's in a name? :-)

Ah, I see Charlie *does* have a scratching post! Amends are made!

We're pretty sure that Philip forgives you!

Charlie, you show that scratching post who's boss!

Charlie, have you lost control over your Mom. She is changing those names all over the place. But it must be fun to all of a sudden just change their names.
Charlie, good to see you. Have a fantastic day.

It wasn't you Jenn - the computer decided to change the names - mine often does silly things like spelling words wrong!!
Charlie we like your scratching action.

teehee--I have had the opposite problem... In my first book one of my readers noted that I had named two different (VERY different) characters Marty. Thank goodness for search/replace!

Ellie Garratt said...

Does Philip have an alter-go named Peter?!

Summer Frey said...

I did that a while ago, except my replace name was Tom. Imagine my surprise when words started showing up like this: botTom.

I didn't realize you were 40! Hey, me too. I love that you say your life is just beginning. Sometimes I feel that same way.

Long ago, I had a cat I loved. She lived to be 17. I still miss her.

At least you caught it. Happy writing.

Well, they both begin w/ the letter P! I've done it myself. Good thing you can easily make the changes.

Good boy, Charlie, glad you located your scratching post! :)
