But bloggie friends, I was momentarily diverted into a mystery that has now been thankfully solved!
For weeks some alien plant was growing out of my geranium hanging basket and today, today it revealed itself to me!
Can you guess??
It’s a sunflower!!!
How the devil did it get there?!?!
Charlie says: Well don’t look at me!
Have a wild n whacky Wednesday everyone!

Charlie did do it! He was working with an outside agent to pull off the stunt. Can't trust those birds, you know.
Hmmm. I wonder if it's a big or small sunflower. If it's a big one, I wonder how large it can get in there.
Glad you're making progress.
And I hope you're feeling all better.
Do you or a neighbor have sunflowers or feed the birds? That's right. A critter or bird didn't finish eating a sunflower seed and carried then dropped or defecated it out on the way to wherever. TA DA! a out of place seed. It's how a lot of plants get spread. Nature.
And good luck on the re-write!
OK, I fess up, I put it there because you an Charlie bring so much sunshine into our lives...so you both needed a sunflower!
Mmm, why do Charlie has that look of guilt? LOL!
Sunflowers seem like such happy flowers :)...Happy Wednesday, sweet friends; kisses to handsome Charlie...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Lucky you! A gift!
Two words: Birdy doo.
Or Birdy don't. Take your pick!
I teleported it there. I thought you knew.
Please don’t tell Charlie. It’ll confuse him, and we all know what that leads to….
All the best, Boonie
I love sunflowers. I grow huge ones here.
An upside down sunflower? Strange indeed.
That certainly is a mystery! We'll go with the bird dropping a seed. Charlie definitely seems innocent enough!
Clearly it's a triffid pretending to be a sunflower so you leave it alone. They're clever you know!
I also think Charlie has done it - maybe it's some mad plan to catch birds or something...
Bird poo carrying seeds? Or aliens? Or the fairies? But charlie as usual, looks like he is up to something! Happy writing!
That is weird. It obviously decided you needed some more sunshine in your life!
Well that is fun, to have a sunflower. It probably blew in from somewhere. Or a bird left one there if you know what I mean.
Charlie, glad to see you home. You are always going to the neighbors.
Have a great day.
A sunflower in a hanging basket - we have to see this if it grows very large!!
Charlie you are looking very handsome today and will be sure of attention from your mum every time she steps over you.
I'll bet a birdie did it. :) I love it when a surprise flower shows up.
Charlie is, of course, innocent.
A sunflower in your geranium basket, huh? That's pretty neat. Can't wait till it blooms!
We think the birds did it!
Charlie may not have done it, but I'll be he knows who did! Cats are highly intelligent you know!
I am going for present from the birds, too--they have forgiven you for Charlie... Love that stair shot!
How cool is that! I love the surprises that we find in the garden. Be sure and keep us posted on what happens to it.
Charlie is a darling.
I was going to make the same comment as Nicole. Bird seed can be carried anywhere and is sprouts into the most amazing stuff.
I would think a littlr bird poop MOL.. Looks good I think.. Hugs GJ xx
That's pretty! :)
No, Charlie, you had nothing to do w/ it but you have a fan club & lots of people like looking at you!
Hi Charlie
I don't blame you for not telling, I wouldn't either!
