Herculean bow ties

Thank you all so much for reading my stories and for your generous comments, thank you!! You are all perfect petals of petunias!

Oh bloggie friends I am confined to my sick bed!

I'm in the throes of battling some evil viral infection! :-(

And Charlie tries to stay awake with me while I read Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile.

I’ve read nearly all of Ms Christie's books when I was younger and this one is one of my favourites.

There is absolutely no sense of Egypt here (its culture, people, etc and quite franky it could be Death on Any River on Any Boat but the Nile sounds more exotic and intoxicating than say, the Thames) but it’s a cracking good read nonetheless and keeps my headaches at bay.

And here is Charlie cheering me up some more by dressing smartly! Thank you gorgeous umi_e for his fabulous collar!

Have a toffee caramel Tuesday everyone!

Oh, no! Sick is crummy! We're sending lots of purrs and healing Light, that you feel better soon.

I liked the Poirot mysteries, and Tommy and Tuppence/Partners in Crime better, actually.

But the mysteries I *really* enjoyed were Dorothy L. Sayers' Lord Peter Wimsey books. I still have them all, but it must be about 20 years since I've read them.

Anyway, enjoy Death on the Nile and get well soon. (((Hugs)))

Charlie looks pawsitively debonair in his collar/bow tie!

Jen and I are so sorry you're ill. And glad you have such a wonderful companion to cheer you up. High Five for Charlie. And for Agatha Christie. She is one of the best. I never knew Death on the Nile had no sense of Egypt in it, in the book that is. I must check this out. Now you've got me curious.

May you soon be well.
Ann

Oh I am so sorry you are not feeling well but at least you have a good book and your cats to keep you company. Nothing like having some cat love while you are recuperating, is there?
I am reading NEVER LET ME GO by Kazuo Ishiguro and I cannot put the book down so I suggest you read it next. It's set in England and will soon be a film starring Keira Knightly and will be debuting in Englad soon! Read the book and thank me later for getting you hooked on another great author!

Poor you! Feel better. I hope it goes away soon. I hope you're sleeping well.

Charlie's at least dressed spiffy to cheer you up.

I love toffee and caramel, so I'm looking forward to this Tuesday.

Charlie looks almost purrfect in his smart outfit.

It's funny that you should mention Death on the Nile because quite coincidentally I'm writing a mystery thriller called Death on the Thames.

I send you best wishes for a speedy recovery.

All the best, Boonsong

Sorry to hear you aren't well. WE hope that nasty virus is short lived and that you are back to full healthy shortly. Nice in one way to have a break to just lay in bed and read. Good for the soul.

Jenn it sucks that you are sick in bed - but at least you have a good book and a good cat there to keep you company. I haven't ever read Death on the Nile, but I remember when the movie came out a LONG time ago being completely fascinated by the commercials on tv (I was a little kid so that was a big no on seeing it). We are sending you lots of get well purrs and prayers!

Felted House said...

So sorry to hear you're poorly - do hope nasty virus is well and truly banished from your system soon. What great companions cats make when you're ill though, unless they're actually sleeping on your book.xx
