What a week I’ve had!!
It started off normally and ended with me adopting another cat! Yes!! ANOTHER. CAT.
Someone at work was about to advertise this cat she really didn’t want as “Cat for free” on Gumtree.com that I had to step in and say, “no stop that, give him to me.”
And so she will. Tomorrow (Tuesday) and all I can say is "yikes"!

And here is a sneaky peak of the little tyke – unwanted, unloved and thoroughly un-neutered.
All I can say is hopefully he’ll soon be wanted, loved and be totally safe around lady kitties! LOL!
Have a great week – forgive me if I’m scarce around blogworld from now.
I’ll be otherwise preoccupied with feline diplomacy between senior Charlie and baby “Gumtree”. Wish me luck!

It is hard to imagine why Baby Gumtree would be unwanted for even an instant but I'm so glad he found a home with you! He is adorable but I'm biased because he looks like my tabby, Henry! I'm sure Charlie will grow to love him!

Gumtree is darling! And hurray for you and Charlie for giving him a new home. My first kitty was an unwanted stray, and when he passed away eight years later I got my new (old lady) kitty at a shelter. Unwanted pets deserve to go to good homes that welcome them.
Oh he's gorgeous and he'll have extra lessons in gorgeousness from lovely Charlie!

BTW, a few people around the CB have put a tiny bit of vanilla extract or other scent on the resident pets, the newcomer, and themselves. Worth a shot.
Though presumably you'll be keeping the little one isolated until he's been vet-checked, vaccinated, etc. :-)

Jenn thank goodness you were there - how can you put a sweet little kitten like that on Gumtree. We hope Charlie will be a great "father figure" and show him how to get round you for more treats! It will be a learning curve for Charlie too if he has always been the only cat!

Oh he is so cute. I bet Charlie will like him. Usually older cats and kittens get along all right. Charlie will just train him like he wants him to be. That is great. Thank you for taking that kitty. You sure did the right thing. Can't wait to hear more.

Sweet! I hope Gumtree and Charlie get along great! We have a guest cat living with us at the moment - her owner will be in the hospital for another 8 weeks, so we are her second home for now. She gets along great with our two dogs, but our cat is being a bit of a snob . . .I keep hoping they become buddies soon.

Yay!!! More kitties!! I have three and really want to adopt these two little kitties pictured at my work. Unfortunately I am allergic and my tiny apartment (or my lungs) can't hold any more cat hair. Plus my dog will be coming home from Guatemala soon....uh oh. Trouble ahead...

Charlie's pissed off I guess. My dog was when I brought a cat in (found outside in the terrace in January, freezing). But they became friends, eventually.
