Changes!

A list of changes over the weekend:

After the wettest May, June and July, the UK finally has a few days of a heatwave!

My lovely next door neighbours - who loved loved loved Charlie - have upped and moved out. We are so sorry to see them go and are very nervous as to whom we'll get living next door!

Charlie no longer has any teeth!

Charlie says: I check my carrier for any stray molars!

Pic taken after his surgery last Friday evening.

He was very disorientated and a little worse for wear! But he perked up over the weekend and I cleaned him up and now he is getting used to his mushy food. We'll be seeing the vet's today (Monday) and I hope it's going to be a good prognosis!

Thank you all so much for your purrs and healing hugs for Charlie! Let's hope this virus is put to rest for now.

Enjoy the Olympics!

So glad to hear that Charlie is doing well! Charlie, molars are overrated - and mushy food is the best, whether you've got teeth or not! :)

We all love you Charlie and I sure am glad you did okay.

Your cat is busy looking for his teeth, and mine is busy trying to catch flies. She's not actually bad at it. My girlcat was really disorientated when she was "fixed" because they sedate girls more but after a few days she was right as rain. The boy on the other hand, it's hard to tell if the sedative ever wore off with him.

Crossed fingers for the vet appointment. Be strong and healthy, Charlie!

I'm sorry to hear your neighbors moved! Hope the new ones are nice people.

Glad he came through all right! I guess they don't make dentures for cats, do they? Will he be all right on mushy food?

oh yay! Charlie is doing well! I'm so glad. I've been thinking about him :)

Charlie is adaptable. If you ever read SEIZE THE NIGHT by Dean Kootnz, one of its major characters is a male cat named Mungo Jerry. And the refrain from the man who swears the cat talks to him is ... "Cats know."

I will pray Charlie ever improves and good next door neighbors move in! I hope you've downloaded BURNT OFFERINGS at least for the beautiful images, Roland

Oh bless Charlie! Hugs and purrs from us. After Tarragon had most of her teeth out, my vet said that their gums harden so they can eat less mushy food, so you'll be able to try him on other stuff soon enough.
Fingers crossed you get some great new neighbours.

Well done Charlie for getting through that massive dental surgery. Your chops will soon be like new chops and all that pain gone. We are sending you purrs and hope that your vet check up goes well

Oh Charlie! We're sorry you've lost your teeth. Hey, how about a diet of minced steak? It's yummy! We'd send some over if you were close. In the meantime, purrs will have to do. Whoever pitches up next door, we're sure you will charm them.

Awww, Charlie, we can see where they stole your furs! How rude, just adds insult to injury. We're purring for your recovery and so hope this will be the end of it, never mind "throat and glands." Gees...!

And we're crossing our paws you get GOOD neighbours again. Seriously. We don't even have to explain how important that is.

We're glad to hear Charlie is getting used to mushy food and is eating OK. We hope his vet appointment goes well today. We're sure he will soon be his normal self and getting bossy! At least there's no cat left at home to hiss at him when he comes back smelling of the stabby place!
I'm sorry to hear about your neighbours leaving and so hope your new ones will be lovely too.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Charlie, we sure are glad you got through that surgery in good shape. It will take you a couple of weeks to get used to no teeth. Orange boyzo even eats dry food and so did Squeaky who had no teeth. You know that cats eat their food whole when they live outside anyway, so it isn't a big deal.We are just glad you are all right.

Great to hear that Charlie's ordeal is over. Hope he gets used to his mushy food. Your caption under the photo is so funny, checking his cage for lost molars! LOL!

I hope you get great new neighbors. Definitely makes a big difference in our lives when we have nice neighbors.

I'm looking forward to watching the Olympics! Are you near all the action? Lots of chaos in the streets, I bet!

And yes, that mysterious glowing orb in the sky is known as the sun :)
I hope you get some just as lovely new neighbours. I had some very nice neighbours who just moved away. The new neighbours are rude and inconsiderate.
Hope all went well with Charlie at the vet's on Monday.
Take care, eh

Poor Charlie... But if the teeth will take the virus with them it's a good sacrifice. The first time my Tungsten had some teeth removed, she too was disoriented. The second time, she recovered much better. It may be the Charlie will still be able to eat solid food; many cats don't bother with chewing, anyway - though that makes me nervous. Good luck to Charlie and a wonderful weekend to all.

I do hope Charlie is feeling better and that he will now be virus free. I can't imagine a cat without teeth, and I can guess that having them all extracted cost you a lot of cash at the vet. Charlie is very lucky to have you as his owner, Jenn. {[hugs}}
