A list of changes over the weekend:
My lovely next door neighbours - who loved loved loved Charlie - have upped and moved out. We are so sorry to see them go and are very nervous as to whom we'll get living next door!
Charlie no longer has any teeth!
Charlie says: I check my carrier for any stray molars!
Pic taken after his surgery last Friday evening.
He was very disorientated and a little worse for wear! But he perked up over the weekend and I cleaned him up and now he is getting used to his mushy food. We'll be seeing the vet's today (Monday) and I hope it's going to be a good prognosis!
Thank you all so much for your purrs and healing hugs for Charlie! Let's hope this virus is put to rest for now.

Enjoy the Olympics!

So glad to hear that Charlie is doing well! Charlie, molars are overrated - and mushy food is the best, whether you've got teeth or not! :)
Oh Charlie,
we hope the vet visit will be ok.

We all love you Charlie and I sure am glad you did okay.
Your cat is busy looking for his teeth, and mine is busy trying to catch flies. She's not actually bad at it. My girlcat was really disorientated when she was "fixed" because they sedate girls more but after a few days she was right as rain. The boy on the other hand, it's hard to tell if the sedative ever wore off with him.
Crossed fingers for the vet appointment. Be strong and healthy, Charlie!
I'm sorry to hear your neighbors moved! Hope the new ones are nice people.
Glad he came through all right! I guess they don't make dentures for cats, do they? Will he be all right on mushy food?
oh yay! Charlie is doing well! I'm so glad. I've been thinking about him :)
Charlie is adaptable. If you ever read SEIZE THE NIGHT by Dean Kootnz, one of its major characters is a male cat named Mungo Jerry. And the refrain from the man who swears the cat talks to him is ... "Cats know."
I will pray Charlie ever improves and good next door neighbors move in! I hope you've downloaded BURNT OFFERINGS at least for the beautiful images, Roland
Wow, what a change for a cat! I hope he adjusts well soon.
Poor Charlie. What a trooper! This must've been such a stressful time for you. Hope it all becomes routine again soon.
And good luck with your new neighbors. I'm sure they'll love Charlie too. : )
He looks good in the pic! I hope you get good news from the vet - I'll be sending virtual good vibes your way! *hugs*
Good job Charlie! We're so very happy you came through the surgery. Enjoy your mushy food, sounds yummmmy to us!!
Enjoy the heat both of you!

Oh Charlie, so sorry to hear about the teeth, but there are lots and lots of kitties who live a teeth free life and do just fine. I'm sure you will be one of them
Even the molars are out? Poor Charlie. You've got to eat soft wet food now. Sending lots of purrs and headbutts to you and your mom.
We'll keep sendin healing purrs, purrayers and pawsitive thoughts til we get the "all clear"! So glad he's doin well. xoxo
We sure hope you get good new neighbors!
Awww!!! Charlie, look at your cute little paws all shaved up!!! We hope you feel better soon and eat all the nom you desire in no time.
So happy the dental work went well. We're sure Charlie will adjust fairly quickly to being toothless. Here's purring for a good report from the vet during his Monday follow up.
Hugs and soft treats for Charlie, and may his virus be forever banned. He's such a sweet pretty kitty surely your new neighbors will love him.
Hi Old Kitty - Happy belatedly birthday to you both .. you and Charlie .. and I'm glad Charlie has adjusted to his new feeding regime sans his teeth - good luck today ..
I hope the virus disappears too .. all the best and as you say enjoy the wonderful weather and the Olympics ..
Cheers Hilary
My thoughts are with you and Charlie today.
And I hope your new neighbours are as lovely as the last ones xx
Oh bless Charlie! Hugs and purrs from us. After Tarragon had most of her teeth out, my vet said that their gums harden so they can eat less mushy food, so you'll be able to try him on other stuff soon enough.
Fingers crossed you get some great new neighbours.
Well done Charlie for getting through that massive dental surgery. Your chops will soon be like new chops and all that pain gone. We are sending you purrs and hope that your vet check up goes well
Oliver, Gerry & Mungo
Oh Charlie! We're sorry you've lost your teeth. Hey, how about a diet of minced steak? It's yummy! We'd send some over if you were close. In the meantime, purrs will have to do. Whoever pitches up next door, we're sure you will charm them.
Oh Charley, I'm so sorry to hear about having to have your teeth removed. I couldn't even imagine!
I hope Charlie soon feels well enough to get out and enjoy the sunshine.
Poor charlie...
poor mum...
You both will continue to be in my thoughts. Hopefully Charlie will feel about his teeth the way Alex felt about his tail - teeth are overrated <3
Oh Charlie! I hope you're feeling better now. Bummer about losing your neighbors. I am hoping you get even more wonderful ones!
Awww, Charlie, we can see where they stole your furs! How rude, just adds insult to injury. We're purring for your recovery and so hope this will be the end of it, never mind "throat and glands." Gees...!
And we're crossing our paws you get GOOD neighbours again. Seriously. We don't even have to explain how important that is.
We're glad to hear Charlie is getting used to mushy food and is eating OK. We hope his vet appointment goes well today. We're sure he will soon be his normal self and getting bossy! At least there's no cat left at home to hiss at him when he comes back smelling of the stabby place!
I'm sorry to hear about your neighbours leaving and so hope your new ones will be lovely too.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Sweet sweet friend. I am glad it is over and that those teeth causing pain are gone for good. I so hope th virus will be gone for good too and that now you can go back to loving life and enjoying it. I hope the new neighbours are friendly and above all cat lovers.. Sending love and hugs.. GJ x
We are sorry your neighbors moved away. :-( We're glad Charlie got through the surgery ok. Crossing our fingers that all remains well with this health!
You can send us some of that rain anytime. Glad Charlie is feeling better. Hope he's well and the virus is gone. Here's hoping for good neighbors.
Poor little guy! I'm sure he'll perk and be his normal self soon. :)
Charlie, you cutie..you have a poodle leggy!!!!!! Winston had one after his ER stay during Christmas and Mom thought it looked darling!!
Hope you enjoy your stinky goodness foods and you get a good report at the VET today!
Chloe, Cecil, Winston and Mom Shawn
You and Charlie take good care of each other and enjoy the sunshine :)
Hello Chuckles, glad you're okay after the sneaky vets made sure you couldn't bite them.
You can now concentrate fully on your gurning career! (You have such an advantage over the other kitties now.)
All the best floofy one, take care of Jenn.
Jo (the one you loved and left. Sob. Sniffle.) xxx
PURRS purrs purrs for Charlie! We are glad he came through the dental OK...and we hope he'll feel better, lots better, soon.
Pretty sure new neighbours will love Charlie too! He looks v perky for just after his op - fingers crossed for the follow up vet visit :-) He'll be fine.
I don't like losing good neighbors. I hope you get some decent folk next door.
I'm glad Charlie perked up. I hope he feels better throughout the week.
hope your new neighbour will be someone nice :)
enjoy the warm days
Ohhhh Charlie!!!! no teeth!!! you need to talk to Mario (if you haven't already) I know he doesn't have teeth either and he is doing just fine!!
We hope that you aren't in a lot of pain and it is Monday here in the U.S. so I am thinking that you should be home from the vet by now and we are hoping that all went well!
Sending you healing purrs, Love, Caren & Cody
Who needs teeth anyway? :-)
Hope he continues to be on the mend.
Poor Charlie! Many purrs and hugs for a quick recovery!
Purrrrrrrs to Charlie!
Get well , Charlie.
Oh poor Charlie! And look how he turns away his head from the camera. He must be shy about his no teeth.
Charlie, we sure are glad you got through that surgery in good shape. It will take you a couple of weeks to get used to no teeth. Orange boyzo even eats dry food and so did Squeaky who had no teeth. You know that cats eat their food whole when they live outside anyway, so it isn't a big deal.We are just glad you are all right.
Aw...glad he's doing better. I hope the virus is gone for good! What a sweetheart!
Changes are hard.
I hope you get good neighbors.
And dear Charlie we hope things went well for you today with your check up. NO MORE of that virus.
That's what we want to hear.
Kisses
purrs

Oh Charlie, we are glad you are doing well after the surgery. I hope the virus is gone and you can soon get used to eating without your teeth!
Charlie, you are looking mighty fine; "The Boys" and I are thrilled to learn you and your teeth are now parted--and that you're doing quite well. We were quite concerned about you.
I'm happy to hear Charlie is recuperating well. However, I'm saddened to hear he has no teeth :(
Poor thing! He has a good mommy so he'll be more than fine. Hope you guys get a good neighbour.
Just why I am here. I have worried and worried. I am so grateful this is over for him and thank heaven he is eating and doing well. I am so grateful for that.
xoxoxoxox
Great to hear that Charlie's ordeal is over. Hope he gets used to his mushy food. Your caption under the photo is so funny, checking his cage for lost molars! LOL!
I hope you get great new neighbors. Definitely makes a big difference in our lives when we have nice neighbors.
I'm looking forward to watching the Olympics! Are you near all the action? Lots of chaos in the streets, I bet!
Aww...poor Charlie! Sorry I wasn't around to wish him well. Glad he is doing better after the surgery. Lots of big hugs to you both.
Hope you end up with really nice neighbors again! Keeping my fingers crossed.
Take care...:)
Get well Charlie!
Hey Old Kitty,
You forgot April April was the wettest on record!
And yes, that mysterious glowing orb in the sky is known as the sun :)
I hope you get some just as lovely new neighbours. I had some very nice neighbours who just moved away. The new neighbours are rude and inconsiderate.
Hope all went well with Charlie at the vet's on Monday.
Take care, eh
x
Poor Charlie:(. Hope he feels better and gets used to his mushy diet!
Change sure is difficult, isn't it? We're glad the surgery went well. We hope the vet appointment went okay ... we will keep on purring and praying for our pal Charlie.
That's too bad that your friendly neighbors moved away and that there's a heatwave going on !
I have been checking back for days for an update on Charlie and I'm happy to know now that he is on the mend. I hope he doesn't notice that his teeth are missing and continues to adjust!
Virus be gone!!!!!!!
My dogs love mushy food. I'm betting Mr. Charlie will take to it too.
OH! I hope Charlie's appointment goes well. My daughter had 4 wisdom teeth cut out on Monday...I'll be Charlie is an easier patient than she is.
Have a wonderful healing week.
Yay for sunshine!
Charlie-I hope you feel LOTS better now!
Aw, Charlie, we're glad you came through the surgery well and are eating.
We hope you get another neighbor who LOVES you, Charlie.
Thinking of you and Charlie....
Oh, Charlie! Poor kitty! Glad he's feeling better now. Lots of cuddles and pats!
Poor Charlie. I hope having those painful teeth gone will give him relief!
A Chinese proverb says: "The tongue is soft, but it lasts forever. The teeth are hard, and they fall".
Hope it's not too random, but I'm glad Charlie's safe and sound!
I hope he's getting better....
Looks like Charlie's is looking for a tweety bird!
Poor Charlie... But if the teeth will take the virus with them it's a good sacrifice. The first time my Tungsten had some teeth removed, she too was disoriented. The second time, she recovered much better. It may be the Charlie will still be able to eat solid food; many cats don't bother with chewing, anyway - though that makes me nervous. Good luck to Charlie and a wonderful weekend to all.
Just checking in to see how Charlie is today. I hope he is having an uneventful recovery.
Shawn
Winston, Chloe and Cecil
I do hope Charlie is feeling better and that he will now be virus free. I can't imagine a cat without teeth, and I can guess that having them all extracted cost you a lot of cash at the vet. Charlie is very lucky to have you as his owner, Jenn. {[hugs}}
Charlie Charlie...You have my purrs buddy !
I hope you have full recovery so soon.
And Happy Belated Birthday to your mommy : )
Lots of love
xoxo
It's so good to hear that Charlie seems to be adjusting.
I hope you get wonderful new neighbours!!
Sending love to you and Charlie! I hope you get nice neighbours. Some of our lovely neighbours are moving and I know how unsettling it can be waiting to find out who is moving in instead!
