Water falling from the skies

Bloggie friends!!!

What could be more embarrassing than walking out of the loo at your workplace back to your desk with a tissue stuck to your Hush Puppies boot?!?!

I know! Wearing your jumper inside out!! LOL!

And the good news is:

Charlie's finished his meds!! Yay! Unfortunately his release date from Old Kitty's prison was set back due to water falling from the skies and to Bonfire Night - lots of fireworks exploding everywhere!

So he kept me company as always!

Charlie says: I do not go out when there are loud bangs outside!

THANK YOU for all your encouraging comments about my novel's title!!! I really feel I'm progressing with this silly novel of mine thanks to all of you!

Have a terrific weekend everyone!!!

Charlie, you're very wise. We didn't like the loud bangs either.

Thanks again for your sweet words for Inigo my friend, it's really meant a lot to us to have our friends supporting us thru this time.

Susan Fields said...

I agree, Charlie - avoid the bangs at all costs! And I'm glad you're done with your meds! :) Hopefully you'll be released from prison very soon.

Hello Old Kitty and Charlie,
It's me, Penny here. 'arf, arf!' Dear Charlie, as you know, I get really scared of fireworks and I wish those people who insist on blasting them out on the street, would think. Think about how much safer it would be to go to an organised fireworks event.
I hope you are okay, Charlie.
Here's wishing you both a peaceful and pleasant weekend.
Happy wishes, Penny X 'arf, arf!'

You are a lovely writer, Jen!...Glad to hear Charlie is finished with his meds and feeling better...Fireworks are pretty to watch, but so scary for animals to hear=I think they should be banned from neighborhoods for that reason!...Happy weekend, wonderful friends...xoxo...J, Calle, Halle, Sukki

Charlie, We don't blame you! Loud noises can scare the beejeebies out of a cat!

Did you really wear your jumper inside out? Too funny!

Hurray for an end to Charlie's meds! I'm sure he'll be soooo happy to go out again!

Thanks for you kind message about Lucy - I think she's fed up with me sticking my face next to hers and asking her if she's OK!!
She's such a little girl and somehow with her I always feel she's quite vulnerable where Hannah (although on lifetime medication) is quite independent and sure of herself.
Sorry Charlie was gated last night - we had the cat flaps locked down too although it wasn't too bad because it was a wetish evening. Supposed we will be getting the bangs now until January is nearly over!
Glad Charlie is ready for neighbourhood watch again - hope he gets well paid with treats for his vigilance.

Yaay to end of meds!

Had to laugh at the little 'inside out'. Did it really happen, btw? Hehe.

Sweet Charlie :)

Have a great weekend, Jenn!

Oh Charlie, Whoo Hooo you get to go outside very soon.
Tell Mom for sure to keep working on that novel.
Take care and have a fun weekend.

Charlie is so loveable!

I'm keeping ours in tonight, and Bonnie has had Zylkene to keep her calm. She's such a jumpy little cat.

Golden Eagle said...

Did that actually happen to you, or someone your knew?! I couldn't help but laugh . . .

Good idea, Charlie!

We don't even notice the bangs. We're so glad the meds are over.

Charlie is very wise and I'g glad the meds are finished. Kitty Boss doesn't like loud noises but Roo would try to eat them.

I read through the week's posts and loved loved loved the logline. (Learned a new term there, thanks!) I would definitely buy a book with that as its blurb.

Loved your grammar correction. Computers are pretty arrogant-they know they have us at their mercy. Potentates. That's what they are!

Totally agree with Charlie.

My three dogs were so terrified of the 'bangs' going off all night they slept under the duvet with me!

Glad your meds have finished :)

Take care of mum x

Oops on the toilet paper-we have all done it.

I do not blame Charlie for not liking loud noises they are rather scary.

Fireworks were washed out here with all the rain but they had it the next night. I hate them. So many animals get hurt.
What's more embarrassing?? hmmm your skirt tucked into your undies!! hehe

Loud bangs would keep me in too, Charlie!!

Oh, all the embarrassing moments we have!

Thank you so much for stopping by tonight and commenting on my most recent post. It make my dark evening (the end of daylight savings time; I don't like the long dark evenings!!). I could use a good bonfire! Jen sends her well wishes to you for a lovely Sabbath, as do I!!!

Oh, i've done worse than a backwards jumper!

Glad Charlie is done with his meds!

Mr Puddy said...

Congratulation Charlie for finishing all your meds.
May be that bangs, they celebrate for you : )

Manzanita said...

The thing that's so neat about animals is they don't care if you're dragging T. Paper on your shoe or if your jumper's inside out or if you're even wearing clothes, for that matter.... :) They love you no matter what..... well, as long as you also put a little something in their dish.

By the time he gets to go outside, Charlie might decide he's a housecat at heart!

So good to hear Charlie is finished with the nasty meds! Hope his day of release to the great outdoors and "drain cover sitting" will be soon!

So glad Charlie is doing well :) Staying away from bonfire night probably was a good choice!

Charlie is wise to stay indoors when it is raining and when there are scary noises outdoors! I hope he gets out of kitty prison soon!

Thank you for your cheers of joy over the post about our tabby cats sense of style and for loving the post about the joys of being a cat! You are one of my best supporters and because you are a writer I cherish your compliments b/c it makes me feel as if I do have good writing skills!

Title is just okay for me, but your logline is great!

I've come out of the bathroom with my skirt tucked into my pantyhose in the back. That's pretty embarrassing, to say the least.

Felted House said...

Yes I think good title too.
How about this for embarrassing - I was in the 6th form, eighteen years old, and on walking through the main doors after a half-hour trek to school looked down to discover I was wearing black shoes on my feet, black, but sadly not matching, each flat, but with a different shape and pattern. Bad day. xx

Len Lambert said...

Haha! yes that would be embarassing, Old Kitty, walking out of the loo wiht a tissue tuck to your boot! :(

Nice to hear Charlie's getting better. I stayed indoors all weekend, too! :) Hmmm, except for an hour near the dike today :)

I'm so glad that Charlie's off his meds & can go out again soon! Looking forward to seeing pictures of him outside! :)

Theresa Milstein said...

Don't call your novel silly!

Poor Charlie stuck inside. You'll have to take a picture when he's free again.

Paper on boots, inside-out jumpers, and rain falling from the sky? Hope things get back to normal soon!

Hi Charlie and Old Kitty,

We're glad you're much better now, Charlie, and we completely understand about your not wanting liking the water falling from the skies.

You got a new blog theme, too...we like.

Love your new pose on the desk.

Mama loves the title....we're running behind here, but know you understand. It is total chaos here with boxes all over the place....but sadly they are all taped up and we can't get into them!!!!!!!!!!

Charlie, handsome Charlie, we are happy that your imprisonment is ended....now we purray the weather and other things will let you get outdoors soon.

We love the two of you bunches.
