Scout's Honour

This weekend I pledge:

1) To get all my ingredients together for my annual christmas cake baking! And there are a lot of ingredients bloggie friends - most important of all being a bottle or two of Drambuie to soak it in!! The cake takes 4 hours to bake and 4 months to rest.

So it'll be ready by Easter! LOL!

2) To not procrastinate any longer with my editing. Edit, edit, edit!! Get that novel ready-t! LOL!

3) To make peace with reading books online and stop being such a Luddite! Oh but I embrace my inner Luddite-ness!!! LOL!

Charlie says: I pledge to have a different pose next pic!

Whatever y'all do for the weekend bloggie friends - have a good 'un!!!

You're very ambitious! I pledge to nap all weekend, like the cats.

Reading books on-line? Ugh. Truly, I don't see the appeal. I love the feel of a book in my hands, turning the pages, bookmarking my place (with a bookmark, a pox on those who dog-ear pages -- lol). I, too, embrace my Luddite-ness, at least in that regard.

Smooches to sweet Charlie; I hope he's doing well.

Have a terrific, and productive, weekend!

I pledge to work all day Saturday and Sunday at the hospital, help my husband study after I come home, and still have time to read. (I don't think it will happen, but I can always hope.)

Didn't know that christmas cake takes such a long time to bake and mature.
Love your sexy pose, Charlie.

If he poses another way we might not recognize him :)

I am clearing out closets and drawers this weekend.

You forgot about feeding the cake. I feed my cake weekly! Makes for a sodden good cake.

Loving Charlie's pose.

Luddite-ism is OK...books are wonderful. But having 100's of books on tap in my Kindle is even wonderfuller!

I have come to terms with reading on my Kindle and love it. Just remember, you read a lot of blogs online anyway.

At least you're baking your cake - I always buy mine. My late Mum-in-Law used to make the best fruit cakes ever but my cooking is patchy, to say the least.

If you drink enough of the Drambuie you won't worry about when the cake is ready!

I hope Charlie is feeling better now. He looks like such a sweetie.

Wouldn't it be a lot less effort to just drink the drambuie Jen!
Charlie - if you are happy with your pose we must meow that we quite like seeing your cute white tummy so don't go all adventurous on our behalf.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Oh my that cake sure sounds good. What we need to know, is how much drambuie do you test while baking the cake. At least that is what our Mom would do. What a fun time baking that cake.
Have a fun day. Hi Charlie. You are looking fine.

I can't even think of anything December-related yet.

Keep editing! I want to read more.

Don't feel bad about not wanting to read books on-line. It's hard on the eyes.

Charlie, you sure look comfy! Hey, reading books without having the book seems weird to us too...but we're adjusting. You two have a wonderful weekend!

Great to do list, I hope you can keep it! I pledge to be fairly lazy, catch up on blogs, and try (gulp) to clean my house.

Glad Charlie is feeling better; I read about the vitamins and meds. Hope this round does it...

Sounds like a busy weekend, Jenn; hope you get everything done...We are trying to catch up with our wonderful friends on the weekends; our Mommy's new job, along with her part time one, makes it difficult to visit during the week now...Thank you so much for continuing to visit us everyday; we really appreciate your friendship...We hope you enjoy a fun weekend together, lovely friends...Kisses to handsome Charlie, hugs to sweet Jen!...xoxo...J, Calle, Halle, Sukki

Oh my goodness! Is it that time of year? Yikes, 'Boxing Day Eve', is almost here. Please wake me up when Easter arrives. lol
Did you know that our local 'Procrastination workshop' has been put off until another time:-)
And our dog, Penny, modest internet star, is in fact my editor and my 'pawblisher'. We both wish you well with your editing.
Penny has looked at the photo and thinks Charlie is very cute, for a cat:-)
Kind wishes n'stuff, Gary:-)

Mom doesn't like to sit a the puter to read - better with us all on her lap and all comfy on the sofa!

Christmas cakes are yummy any time of year. :) I haven't made mine yet...

I hope Charlie is feeling better.

notesfromnadir said...

That is an ambitious cake if it takes 4 HOURS to make! & then you have to let it sit so long? Wow, I couldn't wait that long to eat it!

As long as you get some editing done you're fine. Just try to set aside a few minutes each day & do this every day & you will get that editing done.

Charlie, nice pose. They all are! :)
