Bloggie friends!!!
Ever seen Moonstruck? A 1987 film with Cher in her pre-plastic surgery – great acting days?
Loretta is pushing 40, living with her parents, widowed, looking and acting like three times her age, burdened with guilt, given up on life and opting for a safe and secure married future as her destiny.
Then she discovers passion and the depth of love and gets a new haircut and dyes the grey out of her hair and watches Madame Butterfly and changes her wardrobe and bags herself a mumbling tormented and very funny Nicolas Cage – but on her own terms not his.
Even in 1987, I wanted my life to turn out to be like Loretta’s transformation!
Sometimes I wish life would imitate art!
Charlie says: As promised, a new pose!
Have a mellow Monday everyone!

Nice picture Charlie!!! Hey, sometimes my life imitates art...yea, right! Maybe a statue!!!
Have I ever told you how much I love that movie? I watched it every night for three months. I even have the soundtrack.
Gosh, I haven't seen that movie in so long. It's a good one. I'll have to check it out.
Charlie, you have so many wishes on your bed ! To make it happen, Have a nap !
then you can be like Loretta’s transformation & Imitation of art : )
Charlie, we love ALL your poses! And we love your blog! Thanks for visiting today.

Love that movie. A lot of my friends are Italian and this was their family up there. My husband kept saying "Whose family is like this?" He's from Texas - what did he know? Great pose Charlie!
I've only seen bits and pieces of the movie. I need to check it out. However, I believe her secret was the younger guy. *grin*
Loving the pose!
Charlie my friend, you are the definition of 'glamor-puss' !!
I would love to have a transformation like that. For me I wanted my transformation be like the transformation of a butterfly. Reach for the stars :D
I loved Cher before she became a mannequin. And that cat is adorable.

I figure if you can find true passion in anything you are doing good! This whole world is plastic and not seeming to be improving so finding the real stuff is a bonus! Great post. Cheers
I remember that film! The question is has your life transformed like Cher or are you working on it?
Well I'm planning on dying my hair again but that's as far as I'm going!
I saw Moonstruck a long time ago, but I have almost no memory of it. I'm not sure why that is. Wouldn't it be nice if life imitated art a little more often?
It's been years since I've seen that movie, but yes, it was good! Ah, if only life would imitate art, at least sometimes.
Smooches to handsome Charlie; I hope he's feeling better now.
Nope, never seen Moonstruck . . .
Nice pose, Charlie. :)
That is one of my favourite ever films. I love the bit with the dogs howling at the moon!
We think your Mum is luckier to have you, Charlie, over Nicolas Cage!
You look so comfy there Charlie - we can feel a nap coming on just looking at you stretched out.
love the new pose, and I love love love Moonstruck! It's one of my all time faves. Nick Cage makes me LOL, and I just adore the story. Good stuff~ :o)
you're a wolf~
I loved that movie...and the subplots are great too.
Keep your eyes open. All the best things in life (at least for me) are serendipidous events.
Sort of like a Cat, waiting for a sunbeam but getting a crunchy bug instead!
Kitty, who says it can't?
And glad the book arrived!! What did Charlie think?
Great pose Charlie! I love "Moonstruck", such a wonderfully funny, uplifting film. I can still hear Nicholas Cage asking the girl in the bakery to 'Bring me the big knife'!
Happy Monday, Old Kitty and Charlie!
I loved Moonstruck - haven't thought of that film in a while!
We loved that Movie.
And we love Cher too.
Just wish she hadn't gotten all that plastic stuff.
HI Charlie!

Yay, Charlie, we get to see you from the front. How comfortable you look there. That's a really beautiful spread.
Old Kitty thanks for stopping in to see how "The Boys" are.
gorgeous pic. I loved that movie. It works for almost any age.
mellow? what is that? i wish it upon us all, you nice kitty
I didn't see that movie but it sounds good. Charlie that is the purrfect pose. We like that one a lot. Take care and have a great day.
I remember that movie. Or I should say, I remember the movie poster. I never actually saw the film. But, perhaps I will now. You make it sound quite lovely. I love the idea of a woman taken her fate into her own hands.
It's been forever since I watched that movie - it's such fun! :)
Cher was at the peak of her acting career back then & Moonstruck was a great movie for her. She deserved that Oscar.
Yes I see Charlie is nicely posed again. That cat always photographs so well! :)
That was a very good movie. Have you ever seen Mermaids? It features Cher and an 8 year old Christina Ricci. Excellent.
Thanks for the reminder, I think I will see if they are on netflix and watch them again.

Moonstruck is my favorite movie of all time even though I'm definitely NOT a Nicholas cage fan ...lol I LOVE that it is filmed in Brooklyn, NY where I live and that it shows the Metropolitan Opera's La Boheme which is one of my favorite operas, but I especially love the old grandfather walking his dogs as he reminds me of my dearly departed father-in-law.
I hope your life imitates art too.
How many of us can say we're where we thought we'd be at 40 (and counting)? But you have plenty of experiences yet to come.
