A Chip Off the Old Block

Bloggie friends!! I am falling apart
I chipped my tooth eating a pecan tart!
I wouldn’t mind but it’s the front molar!
My dazzling smile is now no longer!

And this means *gulp* *shiver* *lose all colour from face* a, ahem, trip to the dentist.

Charlie says: Kindly fill blank page with words, thank you.

Have a twinkly Tuesday everyone!

Ouch! poor you :(

My sympathies. Just pretend that you are going to a wonderful health spa and you are going to have a new type of massage. What could be scary about that?

Is it working yet?!!

This is terrible. I stick to chocolate...it's safer. At least it's never bitten me back!

So sorry you have to go to the dentist. How awful to break your tooth while eating something delicious:(!

A trip to the dentist is not bad. I like going there. Weird, I know. I once had a dentist with the worst breath. Eye watering breath. I thought he was just having a bad breath day. Next time, same thing. He just yakked and yakked. I didn't need any gas to put me out. His breath did the job. true story. Needless to say I found a new dentist.

This happened to me while eating sunflower seeds!!!

Fortunately it was a back molar.

I'm terribly sorry! From now on, I'll send you my sunflower seeds and you send me your pecan-anythings!

Your verse definitely says it! And SO well, too.

But SO sorry about your tooth. I've chipped a few in my life--only a few, I have very strong teeth--and now I am very careful not to bite into anything hard! But this was only a pecan?? But now that trip to the dentist... Hope all goes well and you'll have another spiffy verse for THAT experience.

Poor you! Those sad faces say it all.

I hope the dentist isn't as bad as you fear.

Charlie is a relentless muse, yet he doesn't seem to lose any sleep.

Oog, this happened to me not long ago! I don't know how I even did it, but I chipped off a giant chunk of a molar. I had to wait all weekend to go to the dentist Monday morning, and I was all nervous, but it was actually very simple, just like a regular filling! Hope yours is relatively quick and painless like mine!

Your 'dazzling smile' will soon be fixed. Wouldn't want you to have 'A Chip Off the Old 'Blog' :-)
You may have gathered by my comment that I lost my 'wisdom teeth' lol

Don't worry about your dazzling smile. I'm sure your personality will still do the trick :D

Get better soon!!

Oh, that's horrible. What can they do about it? Can they replace the tooth? Well, I hope everything turns out.

All the best on the dentist's chair.
Though my dentist is a long time friend, I am still terrified when I am on that chair.

I hope everything goes well at the dentist. I have a appt in 2 weeks to fill a cavity, not fun.

Oh no! It's so much worse when it's a front one isn't it. Hope your dentist can fix it soon.

Aacckkk! I've broken teeth, needed them bonded, have had root canal and more recently a crown. Ugh, ugh, ugh. Nothing good about going to the dentist. So sorry! I hope it's fixed quickly with no pain!

Aw
I understand completely, having chipped front molar also, whilst eating rice, of all things! Crazy. 'Twas a while ago now and I'm over it, though my smile isn't quite as wide as it was:/
I' sure your dentist will look after you, don't fret!

Jennifer,
You're supposed to take the shells off the pecans!!!!!

So sorry. I don't mind dentists but it's all just a time consumer and a pain in the patooty. Well, maybe a pain in the tooth. Good luck, bloggy friend!!

notesfromnadir said...

I hope that it's easily fixed. I wonder if maybe there was a chunk of the pecan shell hiding in there? Did you save it?

At any rate I hope you're back to your cheerful self & that Charlie is extra comforting to you.

Gosh, you poor thing. That sounds painful. I hate the dentist too so hope it went well. Charley, your Mom needs some extra hugs right now. But don't make her smile.
Take care both of you and hope things get better for you.

Oh thats terrible...get the dentist over with asap! Be brave! And don't forget to bill the pecan tart company!

Ellie Garratt said...

Oh, no. Poor you! You have my sympathies, I hate the dentist. Please avoid the pecan tart in future.

LTM said...

oh! ouch--so sorry to hear about your poor tooth.

You need to get George & Martha to read to Charlie. My daughter decided she wanted a gold tooth after we read it! :D

Remember, the rule now is "pain free dentistry." Best of luck~ :o)

Deborah said...

OH MY! That stinks,,,I think they will just patch it up. That is what my dentist would do, unless you need the dreaded... root canal,,,,
Let us know how it goes. You should get an IPAD for your train rides..then you won't need a pen!
Good luck my friend!

Oh no that is awful that you chipped a tooth! I hope you have a nice dentist at least (I had a great dentist but he retired a few years ago and I haven't seen one since). Or oh, a cute dentist would be good.

Charlie, this time we think you should give her a breat about the blank page - tooth things can hurt a lot!

Yowza, I hate the dentist, and having a chipped tooth is the worst. I broke one of mine in half when I was twelve.
