Missed!

Oh bloggie friends, I am silly!

I was all set to listen to a reading of the wonderful Brigid of Sort of Writing blog’s short story on RTE Radio 1 live for 11.15pm last night and what happens?

I torment Charlie with his string, I play Memory from Cats on youtube infinitum, I’m looking up my horoscope and clicking on the “ask the crystal ball” a yes or no question…

Next thing I know it’s 11.25 pm. The story has been read, the radio programme has changed. I miss the whole thing completely.

Surreal Workstations at 10 months

Sunday morning at the Lost Property office of Liverpool Street Station:

Me: Excuse me but has a pink umbrella been handed in?
Man behind the desk: What colour was it?
Me: Er. Pink.
Man rummages through cardboard box, picks one and shows me.
Me: Er, that’s a black brolly.
Man rummages through cardboard box, picks another and shows me.
Me: That’s more a polka dot red.
Man: How big was the umbrella?
Me: It’s a foldable brolly about a foot long.
Man goes round the back and returns with a fine bunch of golfing umbrellas all bigger than me.

Charlie says: Here is the silly human’s workspace for nice Summer’s Show Your Workplace Blogfest! I am refusing to move until she hands me the keys to the front door.

I forgot that my blog turned 9 months old on 1 Oct!! So belated blogbirthday to me. Yay! New blog design, whaddya think!?!?!

But what's this in my inbox?

An email from my 64 year old mother inviting me to join her on her own Facebook account. ?!?!!?

I just know that it won't be long before she'll be all Twitter-y on me while LOL'ing and BRB-ing.

She is now officially a Silver Surfer!

Charlie says: FYI. IMO, that's definitely a spider up there.
