A Tale of a Tail

Bloggie friends!

I started writing this stinky poo of a poem on my commute to work yesterday and thought I’d hold its world preview here - you lucky things!!

Consider yourselves warned! LOL!

***************************

Charlie’s Tail by Old Kitty

This is a tale of Charlie’s tail
A feline limb, a magnetic broom
Of fur and fluff
It drags with it
All of Nature’s best
And unwitting beasts
Clumps of mud and stray twigs
Lost leaves – dried and shrivelled
Even ants with their military might
Do not stand a chance
As Charlie’s tail sweeps all under him – a quiet hurricane.

********************************

Charlie says: I turn off pc for your own good.

Hmmm...Charlie looks like he didn't enjoy the poem but we sure did!

I thought that was quite creative, I loved the part about the ants!

Good poem about the things in floofy tails! We only have two long hair cats but they do pick up everything in their tails.

Oh, well done!

Charlie, your tail does seem to attract a lot of detritus. Ha. Just come on over to our house and see what your tail picks up! We guarantee it'll be scary! :-P

Charlie, at least you have an ode to your tail, mine is unceremoniously called "The Swiffer".

It's humiliating.

Very good and I don't think this 'pooem', whoops 'poem' needs any 'brushing' up! :)
Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses your way, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star. Arf! Arf!

How cool. You don't need a broom! Charlie is telling me to be quiet.

hahaha that's an awesome poem. My cat, Corty, can relate to it. Her tail, while not as fluffy, collects all sorts of bits n bobs.

Charlie, we think your tail is lovely!

This poem tells quite a tale or should I say tail?! ;D

I don't think this poem is stinky poo at all. I like it. A lot. How cool that you were able to write it so fast!

Charlie's comment made me laugh. Sensible animal.

Do you have to brush his magnificent coat to remove the ants etc.?

Haha! Charlie's tail seems to have a life of its own. At least it's good for dusting. :)

Awesome. I especially love that last phrase: a quiet hurricane. Brilliant!

Charlie's tail does sound impressive! I guess he turned off your PC with his marvellous tail too, (for your own good of course) ROFL! I love it! :O)

I am not surprised that, "Even ants with their military might
Do not stand a chance" Not too shabby for a journey in the train. Well done. Charlie must be delighted to be your muse for such a lovely poem.

Charlie must go where Hannah does as she gets lots of "treasures" in her tail furs too! We like your poem too - did you say you went to work on Sunday??

Cute! I love the tail as a quiet hurricane. My son is a LOUD hurricane. More like a tornado. But so adorable, you must forgive!

Well done, Charlie! Saves on the electricity for the vacuum cleaner. Oh, wait a minute - you say you bring that stuff indoors?? Oh, well - try it in reverse.

That tail looks like it would make a terrific duster! Sorry, Charlie ;-)

I love the description of his tail as a "quiet hurricane". :)

Is poor Charlie offended? I'm sure the poor cat his work cut out for him to clean that dust brush.

Hurricane indeed!

What a witty poem! Don't let Charlie shut your PC.

You scared me a minute there with your warning, but it wasn't as scary as I thought!

Ellie Garratt said...

OMG. I think Charlie's tale is an entity in its own right!

Aww, the poem is fun! Don't let Charlie turn your PC off. Maybe he's just feeling humble as the subject of the poem.
