Party of the Willow

Bloggie friends!

Today, I've gatecrashed adorable Talli Roland's celebratory launch of her second book "Watching Willow Watts"!

The theme of her party is to come as your alter ego. So without further ado:

"If I could be anyone, I'd like to be..."

RIZZO! Only as played by the wonderful Stockard Channing in Grease (1978).

Why? Cos she's a Pink Lady! She wears black pencil skirts! She's a bad girl with a fragile passionate heart! And Stockard Channing steals the show from gorgeous Olivia Newton John's Sandy after she sings this song.

About Watching Willow Watts: available here and here.

For Willow Watts, life has settled into a predictably dull routine. But everything changes when a YouTube video of Willow's epically embarrassing Marilyn Monroe impersonation gets millions of hits. Instantly, Willow's town is overrun with fans flocking to see the 'new Marilyn'.
When a former flame returns seeking the old Willow, Willow must decide: can she risk her stardom and her village's newfound fortune on love, or is being Marilyn her ticket to happiness?

Charlie says: I watch and I learn

Happy Wednesday! Go Talli!

Good thing you selected Rizzo from Grease and not Rizzo from the Muppets! Charlie might have himself a rat snack.

I need to go to Talli's blog and celebrate with her. Her book sounds soooooooo good! I love Grease, and Rizzo is a pretty cool alter ego! What fun.

Oh, thank you for the follow! I don't know if you follow Sharon Mayhew, but she has a beautiful cat, a dog, and just adopted a new kitty, who the vet nursed back from the verge of death. I think you'd like each other's blogs, if you haven't met yet!

You haven't lived until you've been awoken by your bald bodybuilding boyfriend singing Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee to you.

I can assure you it is quite an experience!

Grease is a timeless classic. My wife loves it and I really like it. The songs are great. And Stockard Channing's song steals the show as somehow most of us can relate to the words in some way or another.

Grease is my all time favourite movie-love singing the songs. I was 15 when my friend and I saved our babysitting money and took the bus downtown to see it. Her 5 year old sister came along and stood with her arms over the chair in front of us watching it. I can still remember that day.

For my 50th I want to have a 50's party dressed up in poodle songs and singing away to Grease.

Charlie's little black spot is so adorable.

Thanks loads for playing again! Hugs to you and Charlie.

Look at Charlie patiently waiting to get out at that beautiful door!

I LOVED Grease. I collected cards, I sang to the album, and I dreamed of being Sandy. Only when I got older did I appreciate the fabulous Rizzo. Great choice!
