Three little herbs

Once upon a time, there were three little pots who went to the Old Kitty academy of gardening.

Two were Basil and Chives, the other, Parsley and they were each all planted with hazardous seedlings.

But I took them away from all that, and now they grow for me.

My name is Charlie.

This bit of inspired madness was completely lifted from the original narration to Charlie’s Angels.

I just wanted to show my mixed successes with growing these herbs! LOL!

Yes, more August silliness, bloggie friends! Enjoy!

I thought it sounded familiar when I was reading it. The "Basil" should've tipped me off! I LOVED this show. I watched it ALL THE TIME.

Look at Charlie proudly marching between the plants.

I love the cute pots. Glad they grew. I would have unintentionally murdered them.

Every spring I plant basil. This year I planted 5 little plants but only one survived. I love growing herbs, esp basil because it's so expensive in the store. In the fall I dry the leaves and crush them to have all winter for cooking. I do the same with oregano.

Ha! I used to love Charlie's Angels. And I love the newer movies with Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore, and Cameron Diaz. They rock - as does Charlie :)

Happy August, Old Kitty and Charlie!

So instead of Charlie's Angels, we have Charlie's Herbs? :-)

August silliness should be encouraged, along with August cupcakes and August ice-cream.

Basil, thyme and parsley - you will get the lovely tastes from these but also the lovely aromas.
Charlie are you on garden patrol to make sure no plants are misplaced?

Love it! Ooh...such a beautiful path you've created. Charlie does a great job at guarding the plants. You are definitely multi-talented! Can I borrow your green thumb? :)

Wish I could grow basil! It does not like our climate.

*giggles* Oh, Charlie... eating the herbs... What a bad boy...

I have taken Basil, Parsley and Oregano away from all that too! I am hoping the heat wave in the mid-west has not sucked the life out of them though! Otherwise cooking in my house from Sept on will be very tasteless! LOL
My name isn't Charlie....I am hoping this is not another reason for wilted dead herbs! :)

Good for you, Old Kitty, I myself have had mixed success.

Charlie, you need to tell your Mum to grow some Nip for you. It is easy to grow and think how much fun you would have. Never mind those other herbs. Take good care of those herbs. You are looking great Charlie. Take care.

LOL.

It looks like the Parsley and Chives are coming along!

I love those cute little herb pots. If I had any kind of thumb other than black their cuteness might just inspire me to try growing my own herbs.

don't forget to snip em for your soups/salads, as needed... leaves more room for the rest to thrive!

I bought an indoor hearb potted plant thing this year. I love having the fresh herbs available. I've tried from seeds before and never had any luck!

Your herb garden seems to be flourishing! Does Charlie like cat nip? My cat loves it but it makes him very aggressive so I don't give it to him often
