A slice of my inner Bard

Bloggie friends!

What was my most unusual and surprising birthday pressie?

A pineapple slicer! Yay! From my sister who swears it works!

In the meantime - I saw this "Paws for Poetry" competition in Writer's Magazine! Yes, bloggie friends!! Permission for me to release my inner Bard and wax poetically about Charlie! Yay!

Charlie says: I applaud your poetry so long as it's about me!

p.s. my birthday was in July so the cake (also from my sister!) pictured with the slicer has long been consumed! Yay!

Silly August season continues bloggie friends!!

if that slicer works I think it is PURE GENIUS!!!

I HATE slicing pineapple! I would rather pay extra and have it already be sliced for me.

Can't wait to read your poetry submission about Charlie! It will be a sure winner!

Okay, but have you tried it? Does it really work? :-)

If not, usually the grocery stores will core them for you, at least here.

Good luck releasing your inner bard -- we're glad you're going to enter!

I am envious of both the long ago consumed cake and the pineapple slicer. What a neat gadget!

Good luck with the P for P competition!!!!

Let us know if the pineapple slicer really works. I like fresh pineapple.
And if you're writing about Charlie, I know it will be a winner!

Yay! You've got one of the most highly sought after, must have gadgets, known to man, cats, dogs and confused iguanas.
Your sister is obviously awesome and thoughtful, just like you.
And Charlie, does Old Kitty know how to use a washing machine?
See ya later, eh

That pineapple slicer looks a little bit dangerous! Hope your sister is right about it working.

And Charlie looks like he's got a wreath of flowers around his neck!

Good luck with the competition - I'm sure Charlie is the purrfect inspiration.

It must be time for some more cake!

Kitty, you must obtain a pineapple immediately and slice it with the new gadget, while Charlie takes photographs (or vice versa).

Your blog readers (or me at any rate) quite badly need you to do this.

We love fresh pineapple. I've got to get one of those. Pineapple goes great in tropical smoothies too!

I had one of those once! It did work, but I am a creature of habit and went back to my old ways. Sigh....

Guess who is ridiculously jealous of your pineapple slicer? Your newest follower, that's who. Pineapple is like my favorite fruit, but can I eat it? Nope, because I can't get to its insides with my horrible dull knives. That sounded creepy, not my intention lol

wow. Can't beat a pineapple cutter!

MMM. Now you just have to buy a bunch of pineapples!
